These leaves are then kept submerged in water for few days; till they start rotting and no green part is left in them. When the whole green part gets rotten then they are taken out and very smoothly they are cleaned and with great care so that they do not break.

After Cleaning just the veins are left in the leaves and now these leaves are kept for drying. After drying these leaves become white in color. When they get properly dried they can be colored in desired color. Now after coloring they are gain dried and then they are folded and made to stick to a thin wooden stick. Before sticking the wooden stick is also decorated with beautiful colors. If the design of the flower is very intricate then it can be costlier too.

The bamboo tress are cut and cleaned and then polished with wooden paint to maintain their natural look and texture. These pots are very much environment friendly and unbreakable too unlike glass and plastic or fibre flower pots.

Even the maize leaves are used to decorate these flower pots made from bamboo. The maize leaves are submerged on water just like wood flower leaves for few days and allowed to rot fully and then cleaned and then they are hand painted in different colours. Even the central part of sunflower is also used for decoration after drying and painting them beautifully. These wood flowers and wooden pots are not very costly as the material being used to make them is generally found in jungles. Cleaning of wood flowers

Since they are made of dried leaves you cannot clean them with wet cloth or the normal way of dusting cannot be used to keep them clean. You need to pay special attention while cleaning otherwise they will get damaged. They are mainly cleaned with brush so that all the dirt and dust deposited in between the leaves get nicely cleaned.

If they are getting discolored then you can again paint them with the color of your choice, so that they start looking like new wood flowers. Some people have now started giving a bouquet of wood flowers and this is a nice option because fresh flowers do not remain for long so you have to throw them away after few days, but if you have been gifted a bouquet of wood flowers you can keep it for as long as you want and these flowers will not wither away like fresh flowers.
