Ways To Boost Your Immunity
To remain youthful, energetic and disease free, the most essential thing is to boost your immune system. Immunity, in other words, can be called as your self defense system. To make it more clear, immune system is a mechanism that protect us against infections by killing germs that enter our body. So our immune system must be strong enough to prevent viruses and bacteria from attacking our body and multiplying and also re-establish health, if disease steps in.
This protection mechanism is completely dependent on our lifestyle. Our body is challenged constantly by diseases like cold, flu etc. with the changing weather. We need to make our immune system strong to keep diseases at bay. The factors that weaken the immune system are nutritional deficiencies, impure water, air and food, unhealthy lifestyle and contact with harmful bacteria. Negative attitude also weakens our immune system. There are some environmental causes that impair our body’s immune system like release of toxic metals and toxic chemicals as environmental waste.

Practice good nutrition
Lack of nutrition can lead us to frequent and prolonged illness. As our body cannot produce nutrients on its own, the best way to strengthen immune system and maintain good health is practicing good nutrition. A well balanced diet comprising of all the nutrients like protein, carbohydrates, minerals, fats, vitamins and water is needed for a healthy body, tissues, cells and organs which can fight disease and boost our immune health. Get enough protein, include omega-3 fats in your meals, eat fruits and vegetables on regular basis and drink enough fluids. Herbs and supplements that claim to boost immunity may backfire or create some side effects.
Remain stress free
Researches show that avoiding stress can improve the immune system. The activities that make you feel good will help you stay healthy. There are innumerable ways by which you can feel joy and remain stress free. If meeting friends, going to social functions and mingling with people can help you remain stress-free, do it. You will stay healthy. Besides this, you can play or listen to music in a low volume. It can remove stress and make you happy. Be optimistic. Research has shown that people who are negative, nervous and moody are easily stressed and possess weaker immune system.
Sleep well and do regular exercise for at least ½ hour. If you stick to the above suggestions, you will definitely be able to boost your immune system, and no weather changes can effect you.
