acnecareAcne is the most common skin problem that affects almost half of the world. Acne is caused when excessive oil and dead skin clogs the pores of the skin. There are various reasons that leads to the accumulation of dead skin and oil on the skin. One can include some minerals and vitamins in their diet to stop the clogging.

Our body needs various vitamins, which in turns make functioning of very organ smooth. These vitamins are mostly found in various fruits and vegetables. Skin is one the largest organ in the body and for its smooth functioning there are some necessary vitamins that are required.

Acne is formed from bacteria and there are a number of minerals and vitamins that have antioxidant properties in it. This is extremely useful in not only acne, but a lot of other diseases. The skin is the largest organ in our body, it needs nutrition in the form of vitamins and minerals to make it function properly.

According to some recent findings, Vitamin A is very useful in preventing the occurrence of Acne. The Vitamin helps to strengthen the protective tissue of the skin, this reduces the sebum production it the skin, which in turns prevent the acne from appearing on the skin. This vitamin is also necessary to repair the tissues that have been damaged by acne.

It also has powerful antioxidant properties that help to relieve the oxidative stress that is caused by the free radicals in the body. It is found in lot of fruits and vegetables like apple and carrots but if you want you can take a supplement in the form of a capsule as well.

Vitamin B complex is also a very useful Vitamin and the lack of it can cause skin problems. This vitamin allows the individual to have healthy skin. Vitamin B complex also helps to relieve stress and anxiety. It is believed that these two are considered the trigger for the outburst of acne.

Vitmain B is a large family and consist of various vitamins like B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B6 (pyridoxine) and B12 (Cyanocobalamin).

The most powerful tool to combat bacteria is Vitamin B1, this is a powerful anti oxidant. If you have acne prone skin then this is immensely good for you. You can take it thrice a day. Remember not to exceed it more than 100mg. The vitamin helps in circulation and in the proper digestion of the food.

Vitamin B2 is essential for having a healthy skin, hair and strong nails.  It has been found that acne can be caused by the deficiency of this vitamin in the body. Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)  when combined with Vitamin A  improves the mucous membranes in our digestive tract.

Vitamin B3 is again helpful to maintain healthy skin. This vitamin improves the circulation, while helping in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. The deficiency of this vitamin can also lead to acne.

Vitamin B5 is essential for the proper functioning of the adrenal glands. It contributed tremendously in reducing the stress levels in the body. Acne is also caused when there is a deficiency of Vitamin B6, this helps in boasting the immunity system of the individual.

Vitamin C and bioflavonoids also play an integral part in the tissue growth and repair. Vitamin C has been known for its power to fight infection and increase the immunity. The bioflavonoids have antibacterial effect.

Acne prone skin can also take a daily supplement of Vitamin E 400 IU daily as this prevents the cell from damage by inhibiting the oxidation of lipids and the formation of radicals. It is known for its healing and antioxidant power.

Chromium acid is also in very helpful if you want to get rid of acne. Chromium is present our food but it is not readily absorbed by the body. One has to take oral doses of the medicine, which is mostly in a liquid form. There is a loss of chromium from the body, if your diet has high consumption of sugar.

Zinc helps in the preventing the skin from scarring as well as healing the tissues. The mineral is known to have a property to heal wounds.

You may not be able to take a supplement of all these in a day to keep acne at bay. You can opt for one of the multi vitamins tablets, which are readily available in the market. Look for the one, which has a combination of all of them.
