Types Of Allergies
The type of allergy faced by one person may differ from that of the other. Almost everyone is allergic to some thing or the other. Let us here discuss about various kinds of allergies.
Rhinitis
Rhinitis is an allergic condition where an individual faces sneezing, congestion, watery eyes and inflammation and swelling in the nasal passages. This kind of allergy may occur due to indoor and outdoor allergens.
Sinusitis
The infection of sinuses is called as sinusitis. This kind of allergy may occur due to asthma, rhinitis or viral infection.
Asthma
Asthma is a kind of allergy where an individual faces inflammation in the lungs. There may constriction of bronchial tubes also in case of asthma. Symptoms of tightness in the chest, wheezing, coughing and breath shortness may be visible in this kind of allergy.
Food allergies
There are many people who may be suffering from allergy due to some or the other food item. An individual may face symptoms like diarrhea, rash, vomiting, wheezing, coughing, hives, and facial swelling in case of food allergies.
Bee-sting allergy
Bee-sting allergy is also known as insect-venom allergy. It is a very dangerous kind of allergy, especially for those people who have severe allergy from bee stings. This kind of allergy results in inflammation and swelling around the affected area.
In some cases, inflammation and swelling may be seen all over the body. Various symptoms include swollen airways, hives, difficulty in breathing, wheezing, decrease in blood pressure and increased rate of pulse. Some people may also face dizziness.
Drug allergy
In case of drug allergy, an individual may be allergic to some medications like anti seizure medications, penicillin, aspirin, and sulfa drugs. Symptoms like hives and dizziness may be noticed in this kind of allergy.
Eczema
Eczema is a kind of allergy which occurs in people who are highly sensitive to various kinds of skin related problems. An individual may face symptoms of dry skin, scaly skin, skin inflammation, burning sensation and itching on the skin.
Allergic conjunctivitis
Allergic conjunctivitis is also known as pink eye. It occurs when there is inflammation of conjunctiva. This kind of allergy can get triggered due to contact with things like cosmetics, shampoo, chlorinated water of swimming pool, smoke, and dirt.
