For instance, if a person is scared of dogs, he should be made to observe others grooming, cuddling or playing with dogs. This is a great way of curing phobias.
Another method of overcoming phobias is logo therapy which involves giving hope and encouragement to the phobic to do the thing that they are fearful of. According to this technique, it becomes easier to overcome phobias by facing them head on. Another technique of graded exposure is helpful for facing the most severe objects or causes of fear till the fear vanishes completely.
The phobia that the person is suffering from should be identified first and then the right method of overcoming the situation should be used.
