Traffic Pollution Can Cause Cardiac Problems
If your house is located near a busy road where traffic movement is heavy then you are more likely to face cardiac problems in the future because of air pollution caused of vehicles. Scientists say that regular and overexposure to such pollution results into induration of the arteries which finally causes severe heart problems.
However, this does not mean that you should change your home because wherever you will go, traffic pollution will be there, although the level of pollution may be high, medium or low according to the traffic flow on the road. So, it is much better to follow some specific measures suggested by the experts to keep the cardiac disease at bay in spite of living near heavy traffic.
Healthy diet
Your physical health is completely dependent on the type of the diet you take. If you take healthy diet then your body would be able to develop more resistance power that will ensure your body remains unaffected by any traffic pollution. However, if you are fond of eating rich food stuffs which contain oils and fats or if you regularly consume junk foods then it would be very difficult for you to control your blood pressure and the frequent exposure to the air pollution may worsen your health problem leading to heart diseases.
Smoking and drinking habits
Smoking and drinking usually affects our entire body, especially heart. Even the doctors suggest that an individual should completely quit smoking and must consume alcohol in limit. If you are a chain smoker and heavy drinker then living near the traffic is fatal for you because intake of nicotine and alcohol weakens your body internally and the external air pollution directly hits your lungs and heart.
Home environment
The best method to create healthy environment in the house is to go green and follow the Nature’s way. Do plantation around your house so that dust and air pollution entering in the house could be reduced to a large extent.
