Who does not want that her ornaments shines most and draws attention of others? Nowadays both men and women wear ornament and it is a piece of both pride and power. But day-to-day domestic works such as cooking, washing, gardening and other even natural elements damage our ornaments and take of their shine making them dull looking.
Here are few tips that will help you to maintain the shine and luster of your jewelry. First of all when you are working remove your ornaments from your body. At the time of cooking or kneading dough the materials get inside the ring and give birth to bacteria.
At the time of gardening and washing too the residue of mud and soap remains in the ring and starts to accumulate there. So it is better to remove jewelry, especially rings, from your body before you start all those works.
Nowadays in our collection we have so many types of jewelry. Some are made of metal, some are gem studded, some are called costume jewelry made of different types of semi precious metals, stone, wood, glass, plastic and so on. Some metals such as silver are very soft.
Pearl jewelry gets scratched easily. So be careful about them. Keep them separately so that they are not touched by any other jewelry. Take care of your gem studded jewelry. If they get hurt continuously the gems get loose and become detached from the body.
So at first sort them out and keep same types of jewelry in same place. Some metals like silver get tarnished easily in contact of air. Keep your silver jewelry inside air tight plastic packet so that they do not come in contact of air easily. Keep your gem studded and pearl jewelry in separate boxes.
Chemicals like cream and moisturizer or perfumes that we use everyday damages jewelry. They cause chemical reaction when they come in contact with jewelry.
So wear your jewelry after wearing everything and at the end of the make up. Before keeping your jewelry back again in the box just wash them with plain water to clean the sweat and perspiration of the body because these things make your jewelry dull and lifeless. But do not forget to make them dry completely before storing.
