Tips To Stay Healthy And Happy
You have probably heard about so many tips and advices on how to stay healthy that you might get pretty confused about which option to choose for the same.
It’s not all about eating the right foods and exercising regularly. There are a few other secrets you need to follow pretty early in life to stay fit and happy in the long run. Remember the saying ‘health is wealth’. The best way to make sure it stays with you is to look after it properly.
Here are a few simple tips you can follow in your everyday life to look and feel better. These tips are not impossible and can be followed easily if you just set some time aside for them every day.
Exercise: So what if you don’t have the time or the patience to hit the gym everyday. There are several exercises you can try out at home. And if you feel there’s no fun in exercising alone, team up with a friend or a group that exercises regularly.
Ask if any of your friends are already working out and join their group. Alternatively, you can start a new group with your friends and exercise at each other’s house or in a common location a few days every week.
Enrolling in a tai chi, kick boxing or aerobics class also helps and you can cross train for better results. Avoid vehicles and try walking the distance whenever you need to go out somewhere nearby. A 30 minutes walk a day is more than sufficient and can do wonders for your body.
Dance: If you think exercises and aerobics are boring, try them with some music. Or simply, enroll in a dance school and lose some serious weight. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to dance. Nobody’s perfect.
Scout for dance schools near your locality and choose one that you feel will best suit your body conditions and can be fitted into your schedule.
Stay in the sun: Now you probably might think this tip is a bit far fetched. For everyone knows staying in the sun too long increases our exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun.
However, soaking in the sunlight early in the morning minimises that risk and helps your body build its daily source of Vitamin D instead. This in turn helps your body immensely in the long run.
Sleep Well: Too much sleep is considered harmful to the body. At the same time, less sleep is also considered unsafe and can exhaust your system completely in the long run.
A normal individual needs anywhere between 6 – 8 hours of sleep everyday and anything above or below that is not good for the body and mind. If work constraints deprive you of your slumber, make sure to take good rest on the weekends.
Meditation: Give some quality time for your inner self everyday. Set aside some time for meditation. This helps you connect with your inner self in addition to keeping you calm and composed in this fast paced and stressful world.
There’s no need to opt for complex techniques. Simple breathing exercises for about 30 minutes a day can help you a lot.
Healthy Diet: Junk food is good for the body only upto a certain stage after which it starts affecting the samey. Keep junk foods aside and start eating healthy foods instead. If your craving for junk foods doesn’t decrease, opt to have some on rare occasions.
And refrain from stuffing yourself completely with foods that can have serious side effects on the body. Manage to drink plenty of water everyday. This keeps your body hydrated in addition to flushing out toxins from the body.
Bingeing: One of the main reasons for many successful diets and exercise regimens going haywire is binge eating. Binge eating can have adverse affects on the body in addition to bloating it.
Binge drinking is worse and can cause extensive damage to the body and mind. Refrain from drinking large quantities of alcohol after long gaps. Try to skip those party sessions where you end up all drunk and nauseous.
Laughter: Laughter is the best medicine they say! True. Laughter has wonderful benefits and you need to remove all negativity from your life to remain happy.
Whenever you find some time, settle down with your favorite cartoon, movie or comedy show and enjoy a few goods laughs.
