Tips To Have A Good Night’s Sleep
A good night’s sleep not only rejuvenates you for the day but also helps in improving your immunity system greatly. A lot of people complain of not getting a good night’s sleep pertaining to a lot of reasons like stress, work load, tensions etc. But unless you sleep well, you won’t be able to energize your body for the entire day. Thus, here are a few tips to have a good night’s sleep.
The very first tip to help you get a good sleep is to fix up a sleeping schedule and follow it. Once you fix your biological clock according to the time you go to bed and wake up every morning, you will automatically feel sleepy at your usual sleeping time. In case you’re not able to sleep at the same time every day, make it a point to wake up at the same time every day even on weekends.
Do not eat a heavy meal before going to bed. The body requires energy to digest the food we eat. If you eat a heavy meal before going to bed, the body utilizes the entire energy in digesting the food leaving you uneasy and unable to sleep.
Exercise during the day. Don’t exercise before going to the bed as it releases hormones and raises the body temperature which prevents the body from going into sleep. Exercise earlier during the day,
Avoid caffeine before going to bed. Caffeine stimulates the mind and prevents it from sleeping. Avoid tea, coffee or alcohol before sleeping. Alcohol will give you a frequently interrupted sleep instead of providing you a sound sleep.
Get inside your bed only once you feel sleepy. In case you are unable to sleep within 20 minutes of getting into bed, leave the bed once and go to your living room. Sit and read until you feel tired again. If you don’t want to read, sit and think about beautiful things and try to fall asleep while having the beautiful thoughts.
