healthy-skinFollowing are some of the tips you should know and follow to have a healthy skin.

Daily skin care

Skins specialists highly recommend that you should clean, moisturize, and tone your skin twice a day properly. And also take off the make up properly. At night before going to bed you should clean your face properly because during sleep our skin goes through a process of elimination and therefore make up should be properly removed otherwise it will cause your skin to break out with spots left.

Well balanced diet

Our diet should be rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and other essential supplements required for our body. Eating lots of fresh fruits (red and blue in color) and leafy vegetables (green and orange in color) and fibers and taking your daily vitamin regimen will help in your skin to glow and stay healthy.

Cleansing properly

Firstly choose a cleanser suitable for your skin type. Try to use oil based or lotion based cleanser for the face so that it will make your skin feel clean and refreshing rather than dry and dull.

Exfoliate regularly

You should exfoliate your skin at least once or twice a week; it results in skin renewal and also improves the elasticity of the skin. Elasticity makes our skin look younger and youthful and also helps our skin to bounce back from any damage that may occur to the skin.

Drink lot of water

You should drink at least 7-8 glasses of water per day. The more water you drink the better and clear skin you will have. Water has been considered as an effective natural treatment because of its alkaline nature, it makes our skin clear and supple and also it prevents from dehydration.

Moisturizing and sun protection

Apply a good moisturizer after cleansing. There are plenty of moisturizers available in the market to be applied in the morning and night time in order to keep your skin moisturized 24 hours a day. During the day time the moisturizer you apply should contain sun block to protect from ultra violet rays. As the sun’ rays can cause major damage to the skin and may lead to wrinkles also.

Use eye creams

In the night along with the moisturizer you should use an eye cream specially meant for the delicate area around the eyes if you have fine lines around the eyes.

Be aware of various skin products

Use top quality skin care products to clean, nourish, tone, protect and revitalize your skin. That means you need to choose right type of product for right type of the skin. Use natural methods as much as possible instead of ready made skin products.

Stay active

Exercising regularly increases blood circulation in the body. Staying active along with exercising will give result to active and glowing skin.

Avoid stress and take proper sleep

Stress is harmful for the body emotionally as well as physically and it affects the skin also. It makes our skin dull and glow less. Extra stress results in overactive sebaceous glands. That is why proper rest includes 6-8 hours of sound sleep daily to rejuvenate the skin.

Some of the home remedies for maintaining your skin healthy are:

Mix cucumber juice, rose water, lemon juice in equal quantities, Apply it overnight after washing your face and  Rinse it off in the morning.

Mix a pinch of salt and two teaspoon of lemon juice in 50 ml. of raw milk and use the mixture as cleansing lotion to keep the pores of the skin clean.

Mix lemon juice, rose water and glycerin in equal quantities and apply the mixture regularly at night before going to bed. It will help in removing pimples, blackheads and other scars on the skin.

Apply the mixture of 50 ml. of tomato juice and one teaspoon of lime juice to the face to make your skin glow and soft.

Apply some amount of orange juice to the skin to make it soft and smooth.

Make a paste of raw carrots and apply it allover your face for half an hour. Apply the solution properly by using water.

Apply mint juice regularly to remove stains and scars from the face.
