Three Mouth Watering Preparations Of Spinach
Spinach is a healthy and nutritious thing full of minerals. Here are 3 easy recipes of spinach.
Cottage Cheese With Spinach:
Ingredients:
• 250 grams cottage cheese
• 500 grams fresh spinach
• 1 large onion
• 5-6 cloves of garlic
• 1 tomato
• Salt
• Sugar
• Green chili
• Cooking oil
• Butter
Preparation:
Wash spinach properly and blanch them. When they get soft, grind them into fine paste. Cut cottage cheese into small cubes. Chop onion finely and grind garlic into fine paste. Chop tomato finely.
Process:
Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion in it. Fry them. Add garlic paste and tomato in it and stir continuously to cook them. When they are well fried add spinach paste in it and cook. At last add cottage cheese and green chili (do not slit) and cook for further 5 minutes. When they have turned to thick gravy remove them from heat and add a tablespoon butter on the preparation. Serve it hot with bread.
Mixed Spinach Vegetable:
Ingredients:
• 500 grams spinach
• Potato
• Egg plant
• Carrot
• Green peas
• Ginger
• Coriander leaves
• Green chili
• Cooking oil
Preparation:
Wash spinach properly and take the only leafy portion. Peel potato and carrot. Cut potato, egg plant and carrot into small cubes. Make juliennes of ginger and slit 2 green chilies.
Process:
Heat a small amount of oil in a pan. Add ginger in it. Stir and fry them for a minute in low flame. Then add all the vegetables and spinach. Add salt and pinch of sugar in it. Stir and cook them. Add green peas and mix them well. Keep the lid on to cook the preparation. When all the vegetables become tender, add green chili and finely chopped fresh coriander leaves and remove it from heat. Serve it hot with bread.
Spinach Fry:
Ingredients:
• Spinach
• Black cumin seed
• Green chili
• Cooking oil
Preparation:
Chop the spinach. Chop green chili and remove seed.
Process:
Heat oil in a pan. Add black cumin seed in the oil. Add chopped spinach in the pan. Stir to cook it. Keep the lid on to make the leaf tender. Now remove the lid. Add salt and stir continuously to fry them well. Add chopped green chili in the preparation before removing it from heat. Chili will give an appetizing smell and hot taste.
