Symptoms During Menopause
Menopause is basically the end of the fertile phase in a women’s life. Menopause means the end of monthly cycle or the time of the last menstrual period which happens more or less in the midlife for most of the women’s.
Menopause is a normal sign of ageing process which occurs anytime around the age of 40 and 60.Menopause occurs in three stages in a women’s life. The first stage is known as premenopausal.
During this stage you might have irregular periods and spotting due to fluctuating hormone in your body. Premenopausal is a natural stage which comes in everybody’s life and does not require any medical treatments but it has many physical, mental and emotional effects that disturbs your daily life.
During this stage probably due to the fluctuating hormone you might face some menopause symptoms like hot flash, night sweat or irritability.
The second stage comes at around the age of 50 or it may sometimes come a little earlier because of some reasons like excessive smoking, some operation or may be due to regular use of some medicine.
During this stage your periods are absent for long consecutive months. This stage is simply called menopause. During this period women’s face many side affects like hot flash, headaches and mood swing.
The final and the last stage are called the postmenopausal stage. During this phase of life the symptoms that had occurred during menopause starts diminishing. However, increasing the risk of developing heart disease, urinary track problems etc.
It is very important to make some changes in your life after menopause to stay healthy. You should eat healthy food low in fat but rich in fiber. Lot of fruits, vegetables, vitamins and minerals should be added to your diet. You should do a lot of exercises like jogging, walking, dancing etc to avoid putting on weight.
If you put on weight after menopause it will put you at a greater risk for heart disease and you might also face problems of high pressure. You should consult to your doctor on regular basis and get yourself checked. You can also ask your doctor to provide you some health care advice that can keep you fit after menopause.
