Spring Breakfast Ideas- What to Eat when you are Bored of Cereal
A bowl of cereals is ideal when you are on the go or when you don’t have the time to make a big breakfast. However when you want to pamper yourself and others in the family there are several amazing dishes that you can whip up that will give you a surge of energy for the day.
While the seasons get warm and the birds begin to chirp a song start your day with fresh fruits and vegetables. If you are clueless about how to do this then I have a few tips to help you out.
Fresh fruits never hurt a soul. As a matter of fact it provides the body a healthy dose of the required amount of vitamins and minerals. Fruits are also known to fight against cardiovascular disorders and even certain types of cancer. Now who wouldn’t want to eat a bowl of anything that offers you so many benefits?
An omelet in the morning is another healthy way to start the day. You can top it up with just about anything. Some of the most common toppings are onions, tomatoes, bacon, ham, spring onions, peppers, mushrooms and even cheese. If you are not very keen on eating veggies in your main meal then add as many veggies in your omelet as possible. You can also set up an omelet bar by laying out all the possible toppings and let the family decide on their favorite toppings.
Pancakes are another favorite hot breakfast option. You don’t have to think traditionally in this case. Add fresh fruits or chocolate chips to your pancake batter and then pour it in the pan. Alternatively you cold also make a delicious pancake and then add condiments and fresh fruit toppings to the pancake. Chop fresh fruits or dried fruits, add some honey or maple syrup, butter or caramel sauce to the pancakes for a delicious bite in the morning.
When you make any food with toppings always let the children pick out their choice of toppings. You run a risk of them skipping the meal if they don’t get what they want. Also, place the toppings in fun ways to make fun shapes and faces in their meals.
