Sleep Well However Stressed You Are
It is a sad truth of life, the night that you need to sleep soundly is the night you are unable to get even an hour of decent sleep.
This mostly happens when you have something big happening the next day. This maybe either because of some board meeting or you have to take an early flight the next day.
Doctors claim that when you are tensed or stressed or overly excited then your nervous system gets affected causing your blood pressure to rise, heart beat to speeden up and muscles contract. This prevents your body from relaxing and in turn turning you into an insomniac. The next time you are in this frustrating position follow few tips that will help you relax and eventually sleep.
Making a plan of action before you go to bed is one of the best ideas. Since there are thousands of things thats running through your head it gets harder to sleep. Note down the things you need to do and deal with the next day and think how you will tackle each one of them individually. This will help you feel you are in control of your issues and you can clear it in the morning. If required you can also leave yourself a reminder for the next day.
Create a visual image in your head and let your imagination run wild, go to your wonderland. Picture yourself in a creative scenario, either think of one of the best times that you have had, either at a party or a vacation. You can also create an exciting story in your head and imagine yourself in an imaginary storyline, after all you are the king of your dreams.
Stay away from technology before you are sleeping. Keep your laptop and mobile as far away as possible, along with your clock. Studies have proven that the electro rays on these devices affect your nerves and your sleep. Also, if you keep your clock away then there is no tendency to stare at the time frequently and worry about how much time is left till you wake up. Another advantage is, you will have to walk all the way till your table to turn off that alarm.
Sometimes listening to something rhythmic or patting yourself to sleep, may help your relax. Some people find scratchign themselves with a comb extra relaxing. You can also listen to the tick tock of the clock or the fan to calm you down and help you sleep. Do anything that is rhythmic and constant so that you can concentrate on that and eventually sleep.
Taking a warm bath also helps, this helps reduce the core temperature of your body, signalling your body that it is time to sleep. You can also relax by melting into the bed, just relax each of your body parts one by one starting from your limbs then your torso and cut yourself off from the world and relax.
