Skin reflects the state of our inner health; clear, healthy, glowing skin indicates the sign of good health whereas pale, dry and dull skin tells about unhealthy and poor diet. Eating habits matter a lot for staying healthy and also for the youthful and healthy, glowing skin.
Skin Nourishing means feeding the skin with essential nutrients and getting proper supply of emollients. It helps in retaining moisture of skin and thus nourishing should be a part of daily skin care routine to save your skin from getting old prematurely.
Nourishing creams can be applied at night before going to bed because at night nourishing creams get absorbed better when you are in resting phase and skin works to rejuvenate. Nourishing is important to replenish the skin after it has assaults by sun exposure, chemical air pollutants, and changes in weather, humidity and excess make-up. The process of renewal and repair can be carried on effectively and efficiently at night while you are asleep.
An Ample amount of many nutrients are needed to build and maintain healthy red blood cells and other blood factors. These nutrients include protein, iron, copper, and all the vitamins. Deficiency of these nutrients can cause pale and dull skin. Vitamin A helps in maintaining epithelial tissues, prevents premature wrinkling, sandpaper like skin. It can be cured by just 1 glass of orange juice daily or a bowl of strawberries, Fresh broccoli, grapefruit, red pepper, mangoes, and cauliflower. Vitamin D helps to curb the symptoms of psoriasis. Vitamin E is a strong anti- oxidant which helps in repairing of skin, present in nuts, seeds and spinach.
Zinc is another essential skin nutrient which helps in tissue building and its deficiency can cause dermatitis. And water helps to keep the skin moist and to regulate the normal functioning of oil glands. Daily routine of exercising helps in increasing the oxygen level in the body resulting in supply of healthy blood which helps the skin to stay firm. Regular oxygen and water supply is needed for your skin but that doesn’t mean that you stand in the air and taking the shower. These nutrients need to be supplied through blood.
