moisturizer1Moisturizers are essential for almost every skin type. They help to keep the skin clean, soft and smooth. There are a variety of different moisturizers available in the market but you can easily make a variety of different moisturizers at home as well.

Honey is one of the best ingredients and is a natural moisturizer. Hence, our first all natural moisturizer uses three tablespoon of honey, three tablespoon of wheat germ oil, one ounce each of glycerin and witch hazel and half an ounce of rose water. Mix all of them and form a paste of the consistency of a moisturizer and store it in a container. You can use this twice day or according to your need.

One has to keep in mind that every moisturizer is different and will benefit different skin types. The dry skin needs richer oils like sesame and olive because they require the maximum moisturization. On the other hand normal to oily skin need lighter oils like jojoba, grape seed and avocado.

Aloe Vera is other product that is known to have various therapeutic properties along with being an excellent moisturizer. Take an equal quantity of Aloe Vera gel and mineral water. Make it into a paste consistency. Cool this mixture and then put it in a container.

In a bowl crush ¼ cup of rose petals and one tablespoon of rose hips with a wooden spoon. Now add around ½ cup of hot water over this and let it stand for about 12 hours. In a boiler add one tablespoon of cocoa butter and beeswax, add few drops of almond oil and take it from the fire. Leave it be cooled. Mix the rose water and store it in a jar to be applied regularly.

Oily skin needs a very mild moisturizer, mostly a protein moisturizer. You can make one by mixing egg yolk and one full cup of milk. First of all beat the egg yolk well and then add the milk to form a paste. Now keep this paste in a bottle and store in the refrigerator. Apply it according to your requirement.

An almond based moisturizer is the best suited for normal skin. Just take about five to six drops of sweet almond oil along with a few drops of distilled water. You can directly keep the oil in the palms and just add water. Then directly apply it on the face for excellent results.

Another good moisturizer for this skin type can be made by mixing two tablespoon of sour cream and mash ½ banana into it along with one teaspoon of honey. Make a paste of this and apply it on the face for about 15 minutes and then wash it with water.

You can also make some instant moisturizers that can be made fresh everyday and applied as a mask. You can take two teaspoon of honey with two tablespoon of milk. Mix the ingredients to form a paste and then apply it on the face and the neck. Let it stay on the face for about 15 to 20minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

All these ingredients make an excellent moisturizer for the dry skin. Mix together one tablespoon each of olive oil, vegetable oil and coconut oil. Then add two tablespoon of mashed strawberries and also add some drops of vitamin E oil, which helps in repairing the damaged skin. Apply it on the neck and the face and wash it after 10 minutes.

Another excellent moisturizer for the dry skin by made at home. Take two tablespoon of beeswax that is grated and mix it with two teaspoon of distilled water. Melt both the ingredients over low heat on a flame. Add ½ cup of cocoa butter and then blens it well with the beeswax. In this mixture slowly add three tablespoon of sesame oil, two tablespoon of coconut oil and one tablespoon of olive oil. Put this mixture in a glass jar and then keep it in the jar. Olive oil will help in moisturizing the skin and the sesame oil helps in blocking the skin from sun.

Wheat germ moisture cream can also be very useful for the skin. To make this cream in a blender add three tablespoon of wheat germ oil along with three tablespoon of honey. Add to this one-ounce of rose water, witch and glycerin as well. Blend it in the consistency of a cream. Keep it in an airtight jar.

This is one of the easiest lotions to be made at home. You need one ripe peach and mash it then strain the pulp to take out its juice. Then take in some equal quantity of cream and add to the solution. Store it in the refrigerator.
