Safeguard Your Child From Virus And Bacteria0 comments

It is necessary to protect your children from childhood diseases by immunization. These vaccines protect your child from various viruses and bacteria. Vaccines contains weakened version of these bacteria or virus. After receiving the vaccine, the child’s body prepares antibodies to fight the bacteria and virus every time they come in contact with these germs.

The most common vaccines that are recommended for children are:

•    Diphtheria

•    Hepatitis B

•    Measles

•    Mumps

•    Pertussis

•    Influenza

•    Polio

•    Rubella (German Measles)

•    Tetanus (Lockjaw)

•    Varicella (Chickenpox)

Recommended Age for Immunization

Most of the times, it is recommended that children should be immunized within 2 years of their age. Though new born babies are immune to many disease automatically because of the antibodies passed from their mother, yet as they grow up they become susceptible to viruses and bacteria.

All countries have their own Immunization schedule. Collect information about the immunization schedule from your health care advisor. Though immunization has successfully controlled the spread of certain viruses and bacteria, but children are still getting vaccinated for them because even though their occurrence has become rare, yet they are prevalent in some countries of the world.  To prevent re-entrance of these viruses or bacteria, continuing immunization is the safest way.

How Safe are Vaccinations?

The safety and effectiveness of vaccines are continuously monitored by respective authorities.  So they are completely safe.

Side Effects

There are no known side effects of immunization. Slight fever, rashes and minor soreness are commonly seen after vaccination. But there is no harm associated with this. It is essential to immunize your children so that their body can develop resistance against viruses and bacteria. It is a known fact that children used to become disabled due to polio and died of measles before the emergence of polio and measles vaccine.

Not immunizing your kids means that you are putting them at a risk of getting infected with a disease that may be dangerous or even deadly. Therefore, provide immunizations to your children to protect them from different diseases.
