All teenagers look forward to prom night with a lot of eagerness. For many teenagers this is the first opportunity they get in their lives to wear evening attires and attend prom night with their friends. Girls get more focus and prominence on prom night but dressing up is equally important for boys as well.Memories and photos of prom night last forever and even boys should take extra effort to get their looks right.Boys can choose between wearing a tuxedo or a suit.

Tuxedo is what you will find more often on James Bond. A black tuxedo consists of crisp white shirt, black cummerbund and a black bowtie. Well-polished black shoes complete the classic look associated with tuxedoes.

The white shirt of tuxedo is of silk but you can choose from fabrics you feel comfortable in. You can even experiment with the color of the shirt if you don’t want to look all dressy and formal.

You may even match the color of your shirt with the color of your date’s dress and earn some brownie points from her. Exclude the cummerbund if you feel it will interfere with your dance moves.

If you aren’t comfortable wearing a tuxedo and all the attachments that come with it then opt for a suit instead. Choose from traditional colors like black, white, gray or chocolate brown. If you are aiming for a casual look then choose from colored suits.

To stand out in the crowd choose to wear casual shirts underneath your jacket. A polo shirt or a collarless shirt will make you look very ‘in’. You may even trade the suit for a simple blazer and slacks.

Accessorize your clothes with the right accessories. For a tuxedo and a suit bowtie or a neck tie is the ideal accessory. But don’t forget to add your watch, jewelry (if you have piercings) and footwear.

The color of your watch can match with that of the shirt you wear. Select formal black or brown shoes. But if you want to be daring then go with sneakers! You will not only be doing something different but also making a style statement.

Just ensure that your shoes match your outfit. You cannot wear sneakers with a tuxedo. Boys with long hair should tie them back neatly and use a hair band to keep them away from face.
