Posture Perfect
Today, we are constantly on the run, with little time to pay attention to anything we do. With being constantly on the move, working hard at our desk and carrying heavy bags and loads around, we tend to damage our posture.
While correcting this requires constant attention to the way we walk and sit, simple exercises can help correct this problem easily. Lie flat on the floor in a relaxed position. You should lie on your abdomen. Place your palms on the floor below your shoulders. Now raise the upper part of your body as high as possible while inhaling. Make sure the muscles of your back are all relaxed.
Now, while exhaling, slowly bring your head down to touch the floor again, and relax. This can help cure back problems which are brought on by slouching, as well as improper sitting. It can even help cure constipation.
Lie face down and relax all your muscles. Now raise your legs and knees till you can reach your ankles with your hands. Hold this position, and breathe in deeply. Now hold your breath, and expand the chest. As you lower the body exhale slowly. You could do this about six times, and you will see the back relax greatly.
Now stand with your legs apart and raise your arms up to shoulder length. Now bend slowly to the left keeping your knees straight and stiff. Touch your left toes with the left hand and hold the right hand above you. Do this five times on both sides. This will help give your body a good balance and improve your posture.
Your body can be calmed and relaxed well with this exercise. Stand straight and raise your arms. Now slowly bend backwards and bend your backwards to the floor. As you reach the floor bend your knees and reach your back.
Sit down with your legs stretched out. Draw in the left leg and place the right leg over it. Now draw your right arm behind and place it on the back. Hold the left knee with your left hand. Turn your body and torso to the left. Rotate as much as possible as breathe slowly.
