Office Makeup
Make up is such a thing that can affect your career directly. You cannot afford to go beyond your professional image in doing so. Proper attention is required while providing an office make up technique. One of the most common make up tips is that the application procedure should be gentle always. Whether you are applying a foundation or are simply washing your face you need to be both soft as well as tricky in all the cases of applying a make up.
While going for an office party you need to look cheerful without any dull appearance. There are only a few colours that are applicable for an official atmosphere. Give a natural touch to your make. Use colour tones of light pink, peach and brown. Try and use only mediums tone with single coating only. You can use eyeliner and mascara for giving better look to the eyes but do not over apply them. A thin line applied smartly would create great impression.
Use the make up powder to remain fresh and attractive whole day. You can follow these steps for performing the task of office make up:
Clean your face properly by the use of a cleanser. Make sure your face is already been given a cleaning by the face wash. You can also use a toner for cleaning properly. Use a sponge for deeper effect. This would help you hide all the blemishes, pimples and pores. Then start creating a proper base with the foundation. Cover the forehead first and then give a circular massage around the eye gently. Then move on to the nose and the cheeks and finally comes the chin and the neck. To remove the effect of the blemishes you can even use a concealer.
Your eye make up should be given due care. Eye shadows should be given a light touch just to make them noticeable. You can use darker tone during the night parties but that too should be applied properly. Black and brown colours would look nice but do not use darker tone of blue and grey. Both these shades can give a harsh look especially while you are in the office meeting. You can use the mascara to give a proper curl to the eye shadows. It would be better to use single shades only instead of two shades.
Light pink and peach shades would be good for lips. Try brown but use only if it goes well with your skin colour. It would better to use lip gloss instead of lipsticks if you can avoid them. It is generally advised to stick to lighter tones or lip glosses only.
While giving a make up touch over the cheeks, use shades of pink and maroon. You can even use light shades of purple as well. If you have darker complexions then use natural shade only.
An office make up has some limitations also:
1. You cannot apply whatever you want.
2. Your make up cannot be loud and extremely appealing.
3. You need to provide a sober and soft look to yourself.
4. Dark shades can give a cheep look so if you are really in a habit of using them, then coat a single application only and that too should be a bit light only.
5. Your thumb rule should be to focus more on your natural look.
There are some necessary cosmetics which should be there in your hand bag always like mascara, lipstick, face powder. This would help you give a tech up to your make up within a few minutes.
In case you need to leave for a party after the office or have to meet the clients for the meeting use the powder to clean the face first. Then put the liner and mascara. Highlight the lips by giving another coating of the lipstick. This way you’ll be ready to attend the meeting quickly. Be careful when you’ll apply the powder generally it gives gets over than the required quantity.
You should also be careful in removing the make up as these cosmetics are generally harmful for the skin and can affect the skin badly. You can use an astringent for doing so. Proper removal would help you in protecting your skin.
