Natural Treatment For Acne0 comments

It appears on the skin in the form of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples and the most severe of the all cysts, which are pus filled pustules. There are different medications and treatments for acne but at times the chemicals in the external and internal treatment can be harmful to the skin.

Here we have listed some of the safer options for treating acne. This includes some easy home remedies and natural treatments.

The severe form of acne does need medical attention but the mild to moderate form of acne can be treated effectively with some natural herbs and minerals, which do not irritate the skin. There are times that some common products can be used in treating acne. These are some basic herbs, fruits and vegetable that can come in handy when treating acne.

Tea tree oil can be very useful for acne treatment. This is free of harmful chemicals and is known to have very effective results. The process though slow can be a very effective remedy for acne. Tea tree oil is often diluted in water or some pack to be applied on the lesions. It should never be applied undiluted.

There is an anti bacterial element in tea tree oil called trepinen-4-ol. The bacteria in the oil kill the germs that help it to thrive further. Applying the tea tree oil on the lesion helps to kill the Propionibacterium, which helps in clearing the skin. Tea tree oil; is also known as melaleuca oil. The oil has been gaining extreme popularity in the past few years because of it effectiveness without any side effects.

Zinc is a very useful mineral when treating acne. There have been some researches and the result have yielded that zinc has a positive influence on the acne. Zinc may not be as effective as a prescription antibiotic but it is known to have some lasting effect on acne and helps to stop its reoccurrence.

Zinc is very effective to prevent  the occurrence of scars on the body. There are some side effects of the mineral intake as well. There have been cases when zinc has been known to give some problems in the digestion tract and a lot many people have complained of having a bad taste in the mouth.

If you take a higher dose of the mineral then it might result in heart problem and the reduction of HDL cholesterol in the body. Zinc may also interfere with the absorption of magnesium and iron from food and supplements.

Since the discovery of spice they have been an integral part of everyone’s diet. There has been war fought for the spice trade. Spices not only make the food good but can be an effective remedy in treating acne as well.

One of the most effective spice in the kitchen is turmeric, which is widely used and readily available in almost every part of the world. It can be beneficial in any form. You can take it internally or apply it on the effected area. Turmeric is known for its antiseptic properties. Turmeric can be very useful in drying out the acne and removing blemishes from the skin. It enhances the immunity when had with warm milk.

Sesame or coconut oil when mixed with turmeric makes an effective remedy to fight acne. Mix both of them and form a paste, preferably warm this paste on a teaspoon and apply on the acne. If heating the paste is not possible then apply it directly on the acne and its surrounding skin.

Do remember that turmeric can leave a stubborn stain behind. So remember to dry the paste first before going to bed. It considerable reduces the size of the acne in the morning. If you do this treatment for two or three days continuously, the acne will be healed without leaving a mark behind.

Ancient Greeks have been always known for their discovery of medicinal properties in different herbs and leaves. One of them is olive leaves. The extract from an olive leaf can be extremely useful in treating acnes; it is useful for infections, fevers and coughs as well. The leaf extract is very useful as it prevents the skin breakouts.

Another plant having medicinal properties is licorice root. The root has anti inflammatory properties and is able to repair the tissues of any inflammation. Aloe Vera plant also has the same properties in addition to being an excellent anti oxidant

Fruits and vegetables and not only healthy to eat but can do wonders when applied to the skin directly. There are a number of minerals, antioxidants and essential oils found in different fruits and vegetable, which helps in the healing process.
