Mohs surgery is said to be one of the most effective treatments of skin cancer. It is an advance stage of all the treatments which are available since many years. Before the surgery is performed a special test is performed for detecting the area of cancer. This process of detection is done by the use of microscope which helps in analysis of the deep rooted tissues and cells. Therefore the test helps to track the root cause and finally attack the cancer. The result is that the roots of the tissues that are affected by the tumour are completely eliminated.

The best part about this treatment is that the doctors is enable to look beyond the boundaries and move right into the crux of the skin to detect the problem. The visibility is much more that any other process of treating skin cancer. The basic thing is that the tumour does not occurs in the uppermost layer of the skin or to be more correct its not even there on the upper area of the normal skin. The problem is hidden deeply under the roots of the skin which gets exposed in the diagnosis test which is performed for its detection.

There are two commonly found types of skin cancer where the technique of mohs surgery works better. The first one is the squamous cell cancer and another is the basal cell cancer. Most of the patients which are suffering from severe skin cancer get cured by this very treatment but there are some cases where the situation is much more chronic or may be in such patients there are chances that the person might be suffering from any other type of cancer previously. But still the result of this treatment is very much securing for the patient as it helps the person in preserving most of his normal tissues.  Due to this benefit the person gets various privileges like it helps in permanent disfigurement and reduction of scars etc. Scarring is very often detected in many cases.

Mohs surgery helps in treating various disorders especially those which cannot be cured by any other kinds of skin treatments. It is found to be so very effective that various cancers which are called non-melanotic skin cancer can be removed with the practice of this treatment.
