Makeup Foundation – How To Apply
Foundation is the base for make up. Just as a painter creates a fresh surface by coating the white colour over the canvas, a foundation is applied for hiding all the scars and spots of the face. Not only hiding it also performs the task of providing a glow to the skin. Only after applying a foundation, further steps of make-up can be taken. Therefore its application should be done in a proper procedure.
There are a few steps to be followed during this process:
The very first step involves the selection of the colour tone of the foundation. You cannot apply any of them as per your liking. The selection is based upon the type and texture of the skin. If your skin is dark in completion, choose the suitable one and if you have a bright colour then your type of foundation would be different. You can select one by rubbing 2-3 shades over the hand and choose the one that matches exactly to your skin colour.
Once your selection is done start with the application process by applying it over the hands and giving a gentle massage. This would help the skin in absorbing the lotion and glow from within. You can follow the similar step on the face but it would be better if you’ll do it using a brush and a sponge.
Apply the foundation on the entire face correctly so that no place is left off. The forehead should be covered first, then the portion between the eye brows. After this come your nose and the area above your lips.
Spread the foundation properly on the cheeks and the area below the eyes and rub softly with the sponge. This would remove the dark circles as well. The cheeks would also glow with a bright look.
Most important thing about foundation is generally people forget to apply or may be avoid applying over the neck and around the hairline. The entire process is left with no use if the neck is not given a proper application. Spread the lotion on the neck properly with the brush and use the sponge to help the skin absorb it and glow.
Application can be done using a foundation brush but after it, use a sponge for proper application. Then you can apply powder foundation of some light shade.

Clean you face properly by washing it 2-3 times. You can do this by using some good quality face wash. Rinse it gently. You can even use a toner for this purpose. For better results use a brush and a sponge. Some people even use moisturizers before starting the make up procedure.

Don’t just use any kind of cosmetics you need to be very specific while using any of them. Use natural products at least for your face. They are good for skin and give better results from within.
Before you start with the application procedure of the foundation, make sure all the pores and blemishes are settled and the impurities that make the skin sticky are all washed off. Only after this the foundation would work the way you want.
