Macaroni Recipes
Macaroni is a very nutritious and healthy food. Here are some simple preparations given below that are easy to make and easy to digest.
Macaroni in White Sauce
Twisted Italian macaroni is the best. Boil water in a stew pan adding little amount of salt. Do not boil too much. When they become tender, drain the water. While making it tender shake it frequently and loosen from the bottom of the vessel with a spoon. Keep them in enough warm water so that they float all the time.
The water must be boiling when you put the macaroni in it or it will go paste. Now you have to make the white sauce. Melt some butter in a pan. Add one table spoon of flour and salt. Fry the flour and add milk. Stir altogether over the fire until it thickens. Put the maacaroni into a vegetable dish and pour the sauce over it. Add 1 table spoon black pepper powder. Shake it through, cover and serve.
Fried Macaroni with Vegetables
Boil macaroni till they get tender. Strain the water and wash them with cold water. It will help them not to stuck with each other. Chop carrot, bean, mushroom, onion, and capsicum. Crush 2-3 cloves of garlic. Heat oil and add crushed garlic in it. Add chopped vegetables. Fry them lightly and add macaroni. Add salt and stir well to mix everything. Great mozzarella cheese. Add one cup grated cheese over the preparation. Sprinkle little amount of black pepper powder over the preparation. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Baked Macaroni
Break up half a pound of macaroni in two inch lengths and simmer it as for boiled macaroni. Drain the water and keep them aside. Grate half a pound of mozzarella cheese. Butter a baking dish. Divide the cheese in half. Put one portion in the dish. Scatter it evenly over the bottom. Pour the macaroni and arrange it smoothly.
Put the remaining half of the cheese over it. Sprinkle plenty of salt over it. Mix milk and a cup of cream. Pour it over the macaroni. Bake it for 45 minutes. It should be nice brown on top. Remove the preparation from the oven. Serve it hot.
