Low Blood Pressure
Inordinately high or low blood pressure seems to be the new ailment these days. Though there are more cases of high blood pressure, people suffer from low blood pressure as well.
People are afflicted with temporary or long-term low blood pressure. Those who have continuously low blood pressure are generally able to cope with it naturally as their body system has accepted this low level. However, people whose blood pressure levels dips suddenly find themselves feeling weak and dizzy. By and large, women are the victims of low pressure levels which stem from a variety of factors.
Diets
Though a woman looks after her family’s nutritive diet, she rarely pays attention to what she is eating. An apple here and a toast there keep her going. Picking on food through her tasks without any heed to having a balanced diet can cause low blood pressure levels. In addition, women tend to be on some specified diet to lose weight, and this very diet may be detrimental for them.
Tension and Stress
Usually, tension and stress cause high blood pressure, but the reverse can also happen. Tension stemming from constant worry often causes blood pressure levels to drop. Women tend to worry about their family, home, work and children, and by being ‘worry warts’ cause their blood pressure levels to drop.
Illness
Any kind of illness often causes blood pressure levels to drop. It is for this reason that all doctors check blood pressure levels during any illness.
All these causes are temporary and as the situation eases, the blood pressure resorts to normalcy. The best remedy to improve blood pressure levels is to increase the intake of salt. However, caution must be maintained to ensure that too much salt is not consumed as that can lead to further problems like nausea, vomiting and a sudden spurt in the blood pressure level. Rest and lots of liquids also help increase blood pressure.
