Keeping Good Relations at Office
Work place or office has become a second home for most of us; the deadlines to be met, the stiff competition faced, urgency to climb up the ladder and, the changing values & work styles have almost invariably made it important that the individual has to have good relations at office as well in order to succeed at work and to keep oneself well mentally.
Yet there may be some people who act otherwise. They may be mentally incompetent to take pressures or maybe are immature too because they carry the office problems to their home. But with maturity and intelligence one should be able to deal with such people to maintain office harmony and keep good relations at office.
It’s very important for us to get along and keep good relations with most of our colleagues. Apart from keeping the seniors happy it also matters a lot what the colleagues have to say about ones attitude and behavior. Nobody likes to appreciate a lazy, proud or, selfish co worker; nor does anybody likes to offer such a person, better opportunities.
But sometimes maybe the person is not at fault; he/she just doesn’t know how to win people or make fussy people work. He/she has to learn how to keep good relations at work. But the tricks are quite easy so no worries! One should definitely remember that respect is very important to maintain good relations at office. Whatever position the co worker maybe in everybody deserves to respected.
It’s important that one doesn’t raise topics which may insult or hurt a co worker. While dealing with a junior one should remember to be assertive and not aggressive. Keeping good relations at office doesn’t mean one has to submit to undue demands from seniors; one needs to be tactful and learn delegation of work in order to complete tasks on time and keep seniors happy.
For delegating work one has to keep good relations with colleagues and also to help them when they require help and advice. It’s best to keep a safe respectful relation with fussy and finicky people.
One cannot choose his/her colleagues according to his/her choice so he/she has to work with them and keep as much as possible, good relations. People will respect back and depend upon if one can show trust and commitment and also good manners towards colleagues.
