Jet Lag Advice and Tips
Jet lag is a thing that every person suffers from when they cross timelines. It is not easy for the body to settle down with the new time and schedules and thus it reacts to the change. When your body changes time zones it reacts by slowing down and is also unable to cope with the changes.
There are a few ways you can help your body to adjust to the change in timelines when you move from one time zone to the other.
When you are planning a trip it is a good idea to start your body on a new schedule; this will help you to adjust to the change in timelines. How can you do this? It’s simple. All you have to do is move one hour ahead of your schedule everyday and then eventually your body will be able to adjust to the new times. When you reach your destination you must follow a strict schedule to help your body to adjust. Schedule a few minutes to exercise during the day so that your body is able to soak in a few minutes of sun and rejuvenate.
You must keep your body well hydrated when you are flying for a long time. Drink plenty of water and stay clear of caffeine based beverages and alcohol as they cause severe dehydration. You also need to get plenty of rest when you are travelling. Though most people prefer to read or watch a movie on flight you must try and get as much sleep as you can.
Make sure that you keep your skin well hydrated when you are traveling too. Use a rich moisturizing cream or a hydrating lotion on your skin to keep it well hydrated. The dry air in the cabin will cause your skin to feel stretched and pulled so it is best to have a small bottle of lotion with you when you are on flight.
Unfortunately after you arrive at your destination you will depend on caffeine based drinks to keep you up and about. Almost 90% of travelers do this though fruit juices and water are also effective in keeping you energized.
