How To Take Care Of Eyes
Eyes are one the most sensitive parts of our body. They work from the very moment we wake till we go to sleep. Too much of work affects our eyes badly. We need to take proper care for our eyes to maintain their health.
Proper diet: Intake food rich in Vitamin A, C and E. Vitamin A, C and E reduce the risk of cataract and macular degeneration. Green vegetables, carrots, yellow fruits are rich in Vitamin A. Citrus fruits like oranges are good sources for vitamin C. whole grains, leafy green vegetables, egg yolks are good sources of Vitamin E.
Water: Wash your eyes with cold water three- four times a day. Never forget to splash water over eyes when you wake up and before going to sleep.
Rest: Sound sleep is must to refresh your eyes. It is suggested to rest your eyes for at least 30 seconds after every half an hour to keep your eyes healthy. It is not necessary to close your eyes to rest them. People working on computers for long hours can rest their eyes sitting at their places just by avoiding looking at the computer screen for a few seconds.
Exercise: Exercise enhances blood circulation. A simple exercise of rolling eyes clockwise and then anti-clockwise for five times regularly helps to keep eyes in good health.
Massage: Massage your eyes slowly with light fingers in circular movements for around 2 minutes.
Clean: Milk is a natural cleanser and is safe for eyes. Dip a cotton ball in milk and clean your eyes with it.
Rose water: Rose water adds instant glow to the eyes. Pour two drops of pure rose water in your eyes with the help of a dropper.
Potato and cucumber: Potato and cucumber help to remove dark circles. Close your eyes and place a slice of potato or cumber for about ten minutes on your eyes to avoid/cure dark circles and wrinkles near eye.
Sun glasses: Too much of exposure of eyes to sun is not good and often leads to irritation. Try using sunglasses during daytime.
