How to Repair Damaged Hair
Hair is the crowning glory of a woman. But this glory can become dull, damaged and brittle by use of hair color, hair spray, hair gel, hair straightener, hair dryer, curling rod and a poor diet. Damaged hair is enough to leave one feeling low and depressed.
While it is not possible to restore the hair that you have lost due to the damage caused by external factors, it is possible to restore the shine, bounce and health of your hair by taking some remedial steps.Home treatments work best when it comes to restoring the lost glory of your hair as they are natural and do not use chemicals heavily.
Eggs are a great way of adding shine and lustre in your hair. Break an egg (or two depending on the length of your hair) in a clean and dry bowl. Remove the white and let the yellow remain. Beat the yellow well. To diffuse the smell of egg on your hair add two teaspoon of coffee powder in the egg yolk and mix well. Apply this evenly on your hair taking care to cover the ends properly. Leave on for an hour and wash off with shampoo and lukewarm water. First rinse off the egg mixture completely before you shampoo your hair.
In a bowl take yolk of one egg and add four teaspoon of warm olive oil in it. Mix the two and apply on your hair again taking care to cover the ends well. Leave on for half an hour and rinse using a shampoo suited to your skin type. You can use castor oil in place of olive oil if you suffer from dandruff. Often dandruff is a cause of falling and damaged hair.
Wash your hair and apply your favourite conditioner. Wrap a towel soaked in hot water (and squeezed properly) around your head. Leave for 15 minutes and relax. Remove the towel and wash your hair with lukewarm water. This treatment will make your hair soft and shiny.
Break five vitamin E capsules and mix the oil from them with your favourite shampoo. Apply the mixture on hair and do a regular wash. If Vitamin E capsules aren’t available you can even use vitamin E oil. Vitamin E is very good for the health of the hair and restores their lost shine and smoothness.
