How To Remove Stains From Cloth
Stains on clothes are a common problem. It often happens that after you come back from a party, you find a stain on your favorite dress.
Also, your kids never come back home without stains on their clothes. Sometimes spills stains your sofa covers, curtains, bed sheets, etc.
All these become an eyesore. So, how to remove them? Here are some stain removal tips that might help you in such situations.
On your children’s cloth you will find that the most common type of stain is the stain from food. If it is the stain of oil then soak that portion in milk and then rub lemon juice. Generally the stain goes away in this way. Color of the stain also goes away with milk and lemon juice.
If it is the stain of chewing gum then take a knife and scrape it off from the cloth. If it has already gone hard then pour little amount of boiling water over it. The gum will get soft and make it easier to scrape off. Then wash it off. Children often get stain from ink or color after their craft or painting sessions. Treat that with plain water first and then wash it with alcohol. A normal wash with detergent and water is necessary.
Elders often get stain from tea, coffee, juices, wine, sauce, soft drinks, etc. Stain of coffee and tea is hard to remove. To remove it, first wash the place with clean plain water. Then sprinkle some salt on it. Wait for some moment and then wash the stain with club soda. Finally send it for normal wash. The stain of tomato sauce is mainly the stain of tomato. To remove the acidic stain use little amount of diluted vinegar over it and then wash it. If the stain is still there, use club soda. The stain will go away.
The stain of blood should be treated as soon as possible with liquid detergent. If there is still stain rub little amount of liquid detergent over there and then keep it for 30 minutes. Wash it with cold water. Never use hot water on blood stain. The stain from grease goes with hot water and the stain removers available in the market. Do not throw your stained cloth into dryer or do not iron it because that will make the stain permanent.
