Mouthwash is antiseptic liquid used to rinse our mouth to keep it hygienically clean. Mouthwash kills bacteria, removes mucus and keeps our teeth and gums healthy.
A mouthwash certainly not reduces the importance of brushing teeth. It is advisable to rinse mouth twice a day- early morning and before going to bed. Excessive use of mouthwash is dangerous, as in many mouthwashes alcohol is used as an ingredient which may cause mouth cancer.

Mouthwashes can be made at home for different purposes. Here are some pocket-friendly recipes to make mouthwash at home.
Myrrh and Mint Mouthwash
Myrrh is generally used to cure mouth ulcers and gum bleeding. Rubbing a drop of myrrh is very beneficial to get over toothache.
Preparation:
Take a glass bottle and pour 90ml brandy, 10 drops of myrrh and peppermint into it. Now add 2 drops of lemon and 1 drop of thyme to it. Shake the solution well. Your mouthwash is ready.
How to use:
Add 3tsps mouthwash in a small glass of warm water. Stir the water and mouthwash solution well and rinse your mouth with it.
Fennel Fresh Mouthwash:
Fennel, a fragrant herb, is usually used for flavoring. Fennel fresh mouthwash will keep the mouth clean and gums healthy.
Preparation:
Take a glass bottle of 100ml and pour 90ml brandy into it. Now add 10drops of fennel, 10 drops of grapefruit, 2 drops of thyme and a single drop of chamomile. Shake the bottle well. Your mouthwash is ready.
How to use:
Take warm water in a small glass and add 3tsps of mouthwash to it. Stir the solution well and rinse your mouth well with it.
Salt mouthwash:
It is the most common mouthwash to treat mouth injuries and infections. Dissolve a tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Mouthwash is ready to use. You can rinse your mouth with it and do gargles as well
