How to Firm Neck and Throat With Facial Exercises
A double chin and fat accumulated on the neck can be very unappealing. It not only makes you unattractive but also adds a couple of years to your frame. The best way to look fitter and younger is to keep the face and the neck muscles well toned. You would be amazed to see that the toned muscles cannot only make you attractive but take the years away from your face. This also helps in stretching the muscles, hence keeping the wrinkles away.
It has been proven that the facial muscles lose their elasticity very easily than any other part of the body; this creates the appearance of wrinkles on the face. The other area to be treated is the neck and throat muscle, which are often neglected while exercising and develops into a double skin.
Facial exercises can give you a smooth and child like appearance to your face. This can be achieved without any surgical facelift. These exercises though have to be done everyday and in six weeks you would start seeing some very good results.
Here, we suggest some exercises that will help you to achieve the desired look. In the first exercise you have sit upright and move your head backwards and look at the ceiling. Then by looking up start a chewing movement. This helps to harden the muscles in the neck and the throat area of the face. Repeat this exercise at least 20 times a day and you would see the results by losing that double chin.
The next exercise also requires you to sit on the chair upright and then tilt your head. This time keep your lips closed and make a face where the lips are to be puckered together in a kiss formation and stretch the kiss again. Hold the position till a count of 10 and come back to the original position. Repeat this for five times.
In the next exercise that double chin is effectively eliminated. Sit upright and tilt the head backwards and keep the lips closed and relaxed. Now move the lower lip over the top lip and try to stretch it as much as possible. Repeat the exercise five times.
This can help you to eliminate the fine lines around your lips. Sit upright and look towards the ceiling and keep the lips closed and relaxed. Now open your mouth and now stick the tongue out and try and touch the chin through the tip of the tongue. Now keep the tongue out for 10 counts and then return to the normal position.
The next exercise requires you lie down on the bed and your head over the edge. Now slowly bring that head towards the torso and try and keep it in the same position for 10 counts. Then return to the original position. Repeat this exercise for at least five times.
In this exercise sit straight and look in front and keep the lips and teeth closed. Now smile as broadly as possible. Remember that your lips should not open. Keep it that way for five counts. Now bring your lips in a pointed lip formation and keep it for another five counts. Repeat this for 10 times.
In the next exercise you have to sit with your legs folded. Slowly tilt your head backwards and hold it for 10 counts this will stretch the neck muscles and the jaw line. Then come back to the old position. Do this exercise for at least five sets.
Keep your head straight and now tilt it towards your right, you would be able to feel the left side muscles of the neck stretching. Hold it for five counts come back to the original position and repeat with your left side. Do three sets on either side.
