How To Control Oil Production On Your Face

Oily skin Skin produces oil due to changes in the hormone levels, especially during teen years and causes acne. But oily skin is not only the problem of teens; many women also suffer from oily skin problem during pregnancy and during menstrual periods. Sometimes, birth control pills also increase oil production on your skin.

Oily skin needs special care because they attract dirt and dust easily and as a result develop other complications easily. The secretion of oil causes acne and other skin diseases. There are many natural remedies to control oil production on your face by reducing production of sebum which is the main cause of excess oil production.

•    To treat your oily skin and stop oil production, take some hazelnut oil and heat the oil in microwave in high temperature. Add this oil to cypress oil and mix thoroughly. Let the mixture cool down and then add some eucalyptus oil and lavender oil. Again mix them well.  Pour the mixture in a glass bottle and store the bottle in fridge. Now clean your face with face first with cleanser and toner; then take few drop of this mixed oil in your palm, add few drops of water, and massage the solution on your face and neck gently, till the solution gets absorbed to the skin well. Leave it for some time; then wash your face with cold water. Now apply moisturizer on your face and neck. Use this treatment regularly and you will find that oil production has reduced totally.

Here are some face masks that can be made easily at home to treat oily skin.

•    Apply puree of fresh tomatoes on your skin.

•    Apply a thin layer of tooth paste on your face and let it dry. Then wash the face using warm water. It can give some temporary relief to your oily skin.

•    Beat one egg white, mixing with 1 tsp skimmed milk, 1 tsp camphor powder, few drops of mint oil and apply thick layer of this mask on your face. Wait for at least 15 minutes to let the mask dry. Wash your face with warm water. Now apply apple cider vinegar mixed with water and rinse. It will reduce the production of sebum and clean your skin deeply.

Always use non oil based products like sun screen and moisturizers on your skin.
