How to Care your Newborn?
You must have heard it several times, but it’s a fact – a baby never carries a User Manual. Let’s discuss on some common and uncommon solutions for problems which originate for the beginning year of your baby.
First and foremost, you need to learn how to calm your crying baby and to change a baby’s diaper. You need to learn this as it is a daily practice. You need to work hard to understand and know your newborn. On mastering these skills you will come across many new and unknown things to learn.
The basic things that you need to master for caring your newborn are:
Feeding: Breastfeeding is the best for newborn. It contains all vitamins and minerals that a newborn requires and can be easily digested. Breastfeeding not only helps to bring the mom’s figure back to shape, it also helps to bind the infant and mother in an emotional knot.
Sleep: Newborns have irregular sleep patterns. It is a bit struggling for new parents to find out sleeping arrangement that is convenient to all. Some people find it more convenient if the baby sleeps in a crib or bassinet near their bed while some want to share their bed with their sweet little. Sleeping together is convenient for breastfeeding mothers. It also increases family bonding and the infant feels safe and sound. Initially the babies wake up more often and gradually the nights become uncomfortable for parents.
Diaper: Diaper is one of the most essential things. You must change the diapers after intervals of time to keep your baby clean. At times excessive use of diapers leads to rashes. So as to avoid rashes and allergies, clean the baby every time you change the diaper and apply some oil/cream to keep the skin soft.
Massage: The little one needs proper massage for his/her growth. It relaxes the baby and makes him strong.
Clean environment: Little baby needs a clean environment near him/her. They are prone to infections. Also whenever you or anyone who comes from outside, should wash hands and face and become clean before lifting the newborn.
Safety: You must take proper safety measures to protect your child from any mis-happening. Don’t keep small or furry things near your infant as they may get choke.
