If you want you acne to look dull or smaller in few minuets then just take some ice cubes and rub it on the affected area on the face for about 10 to 15 minutes. If you have some time in hand then you can make a paste of sandalwood powder and black gram. Apply this paste on the face and leave it overnight; wash it off with cold water in the morning. This helps in the tightening of the pores. Cucumber is also good to help in tightening of the pores; you can apply the juice of cucumber on your face and wash it after 15 minutes.
Oily skin is known to be more prone to acne. One can cut a tomato and rub half on the skin for some time and let the juice stand on the face for about15 minutes and then wash it off with water. This reduces the open pores as well as the blackheads.
Aloe Vera is an excellent ingredient to cure acne. It can be used in any form. You can apply the juice of the plant on the face and if it is not readily available then you can substitute it with Aloe Vera soap and gels. It not only helps in clearing the acne but also helps in healing the acne damaged skin.
You can also make a pack at home to keep your skin acne free. Boil 50 gm raspberry, strawberry or blackberry leaves with around 1.5 liters of water. Apply it on the face and leave it for some time. This helps to keep the pores clean.
Oatmeal can also do wonders for the skin and when mixed with natural yogurt to form a paste it can be very effective in curing acne. Make a paste of both and apply it on the face, let it dry. Wash it off with lukewarm water. You can also make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this while going to sleep and wash it the next morning. This is also an effective remedy for acne.
Another quick method to get relief from acne is in tea bags. You can boil two or three tea bags in water. Mix them with dried basil for 10 to 20 minutes. Apply this on the face and on the acne with a cotton ball.
Pimples can be cured by mixing one tablespoon of groundnut oil with one tablespoon of lime juice. You can also apply fresh lime juice mixed with half glass of boiled milk. This not only treats pimples but is effective for blackheads as well.
Leafy greens can be one of the best home remedies for acne. Lettuce leaves can be saturated in water. Use this water to rinse the face during the day. You can also apply fresh mint juice on your face and leave it overnight. This is an effective treatment for acne. You can also use mint leaves by mixing with turmeric powder to form a paste. Apply this paste on the affected area and leave for half an hour. Wash the paste off with lukewarm water.
Another effective home remedy for acne can be found by taking two tablespoons of white sugar and one tablespoon of brown sugar just wet the mixture a little, rub this on your face. Drinking a glass of wheatgrass juice daily can be very effective in having acne free skin.
Acne affects the teens the most. You can avoid them by just keeping a few things in mind. You must avoid chocolates, nuts, fried and fatty foods as this will increase the oil level in the skin. One should have a balanced meal, which includes a lot of fresh juices. You have to remember to take a diet includes a lot of Vitamin C and Vitamin E rich foods as there are natural antioxidants. Vitamin E helps in removing the scars that are formed by the acne.
