Home Remedies for Prostate Disorders
The prostate gland is a part of the mammalian reproductive system. The prostate gland produces slightly alkaline (pH 7.29) fluid, milky or white of egg in appearance. This fluid constitutes 25-30% of the volume of the semen along with spermatozoa and seminal vesicle fluid. The predominant function of this alkaline fluid is to neutralize the acidity of the vaginal tract, prolonging the life span of the sperm. It is found that the sperm that is accompanied with the prostate fluid have better mobility, life span and shows better performance in the reproductive cycle. Thus prostate is a very important part of the body and is indisputably an important organ for reproduction. However, in many circumstances the prostate gland falls prey to various disorders. The most common prostate disorders include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a noncancerous, enlargement of the prostate. The other two disorders are prostatitis, an inflammatory infection; and prostate cancer. Out of these BPH is one of the most common diseases in ageing males. However, various simple and effective home remedies are available for prostate disorders.
Using pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin seeds are a very useful option while looking for prostate problems’ solution. It is a very rich source of fatty acids and is very helpful in maintaining the general health of the prostate gland. An adult male should intake 60-90 grams of the pumpkin seeds daily to keep the prostate gland free of disorders. The pumpkin seeds’ powder can be sprinkled over cooked food or they can be used to make chapattis. Alternately, pumpkin juice can also be taken 2-3 times every day.
Using carrot
Carrot is another useful vegetable that is found useful for prostate disorders. It is also very rich in fatty acids and minerals and hence acts as a superb tonic for treating prostate problems. Freshly prepared carrot juice should be taken 2-3 times every day to keep the functions of prostate gland intact.
Using tomato
The other vegetable that is useful in treating prostate disorders is tomato. Its juice is one of the best remedies for prostate problems. Freshly prepared juice of tomatoes should be taken 3 times every day by patients suffering from prostate troubles.
Using garlic
Garlic is also another very important remedy to treat prostate disorders. For getting positive results in case of prostate troubles, patients should take about 3-4 garlic every day.
Eating green vegetables
Green vegetables are an excellent way to get rid of prostate troubles. They contain lots of minerals, including zinc which is considered useful for treating prostate problems, and hence are obviously helpful in providing relief from prostate disorders.
Using lettuce leaves
Prickly lettuce leaves are a very useful remedy for treating various prostate problems. Lettuce leaves are very useful in treating the enlargement problem of prostate glands.
Using Hog weed
Hog weed is also a very important herb that can treat various ailments of the prostate gland. It is usually almost always prescribed in ayurvedic medicines for treating any kind of prostate problem.
Including vitamin E in diet
Another simple and beautiful way to get rid of prostate problems is to include Vitamin E in diet. Wholegrain products, green leafy vegetables, milk and sprouted seeds are especially useful for this purpose.
Taking the mixture of spinach and carrot juice
Spinach and carrot juices are an excellent option for problems associated with prostate glands. Take 200 ml of spinach juice and mix with 300 ml of carrot juice and take this every day for getting quick relief from prostate problems. Almost all vegetable juice can be used for moderate to complete relief from prostate disorders.
Using Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris)
Gokshura is another effective home remedy for all kinds of prostate and urinary tract disorders. Grind the fruit of gokshura roughly and boil in two cups of water till the amount of water is reduced to half. Add a little sugar and take this everyday for getting effective results in prostate disorders.
