Gout is a form of arthritis that affects the joint or the cartilages of joints. It is the deposits of uric acid that causes gout. Its symptoms include severe pain and inflammation, especially of the joints.
In this condition the crystals of monosodium urate or uric acid are deposited in the cartilages of joints, tendons and selective tissues. Uric acid is produced as a waste, but in case of gouts excessive amounts of uric acids are deposited rather than being disposed out of the body. The inflammation and pain predominantly affect the joints of the knee, feet, hands, wrist and elbows. However, the deposits may also get formed in the kidneys and urinary tract.

Apples are very helpful in the treatment of gout. At least one apple should be taken every day by the gout sufferers to get relief from the disease.

Cherries are also very good way to remove gouts. Cherries are rich in vitamin C and this helps in eliminating the deposits of uric acid from the joints. A person suffering from gout should intake ten to fifteen cherries every day. Alternately, one can also drink cherry juice extracted from fresh cherries once every day to get relief from gout.

Using raw vegetable juices may also treat gout. Carrot, cucumber and beet juices are especially valuable in treatment of gout. Take 100 ml each of beat and cucumber juice and mix it with 300 ml of carrot juice. This liquid may be taken twice daily to get good results in the treatment of gout.

Lemon juice is another alternative home remedy for gout patients. Mix half a lemon’s juice in a glass of water and drink it daily. This medicine provides plenty of citric acid which dissolves the uric acid deposits, thereby treating gout. The vitamin C content of limes strengthens the connective tissues too.

French beans can also be used as a home remedy for gout treatment. Extract the juice of the beans and take nearly 150 ml of this juice twice every day for a month. It will reduce the inflammation and provide quick relief from gout.

Bananas can also be used as a treatment for gout. The individuals suffering from gout may intake 8-9 bananas every day. Also, the patients may take only banana in diet for three to four days.

Ginger can also be used in the treatment of gout. It is especially helpful for treating gout of the toes. Take one third of a cup of mashed ginger in a bathtub and mix water with it. Now, soak your feet in the tub for 15-20 minutes. Ginger will make the toe sweat and this will reduce the urate deposits of the toes. However, after taking this remedy wash the feet thoroughly to avoid irritation.

Fluids should also be taken excessively to treat gout. The excessive fluid washes away the urate deposits and help in the treatment of gout. The fluids also save the kidney from developing stones by removing the urate crystal deposits. Gout patients should take 8-9 glasses of fluid every day to get quick relief from gouts.
Gout treatment: Using Epsom salts
Epsom salts can also be used as a remedy for the treatment of gout. The salt should be mixed with water and this could be used as a foot bath. This is especially helpful for treating the symptoms of the feet. Patients may also take full baths thrice every week. About 250 grams of salt should be mixed with water for getting good results.
Gout treatment: Using alfalfa
Alfalfa is also a very good remedy for gout. Alfalfa dissolves the uric acid content and protects the body from future depositions and attacks of gout.
