Home Remedies For Eczema
Eczema usually refers to a skin condition where dryness and recurring skin rashes occur and any of the following symptoms may be seen: redness, itching and dryness, skin edema (swelling), crusting, blistering, flaking, cracking, oozing, or bleeding.
Usually, eczema is a form of dermatitis or inflammation of the upper epidermis portion of the skin. Although it has some resemblance with psoriasis, eczema is predominantly found on the flexor aspects of joints. The inflammation of the skin may lead to pustules and a clear liquid may be discharged from them. Eczema is considered to be a chronic skin disorder and is not a contagious disease. However, plenty of home remedies are available for the disease.
Using camphor and sandalwood
Camphor and sandalwood can be used as effective home remedies for eczema. Take one teaspoonful of sandalwood and camphor and make a fine paste of the mixture. After allowing it to settle down for some time, apply over the infected areas of the skin. It will help in getting quick relief from eczema.
Using coconut oil
Coconut oil can also be used as an effective home remedy for eczema. Apply coconut oil gently over the eczema affected areas and leave it to settle for some time. It will soften the skin and help to get recovered from the disease.
Using Margosa and Turmeric powder
Margosa (Neem) and Turmeric powder can also be used to treat eczema. Make a fine paste by adding one tablespoonful of turmeric powder and juice from the neem leaves extracted for the purpose. This paste can be applied on the affected areas of the skin. It helps in getting rid of eczema and is one of the most fruitful methods for treating the condition.
Using Margosa and mustard oil
In an iron vessel, boil 200 ml of mustard oil and add some leaves of Neem to it. Stop boiling once the leaves start turning black. Cool this solution in room temperature and apply over the eczema affected areas. It will not only treat eczema but will also keep the skin away from various other diseases.
Using mangoes
Mango also shows curative properties against eczema. To prepare the medicine, peel off the skin and boil the mango pulp in water. After it has boiled fully, allow it to cool down to room temperature. Apply the paste over the eczema affected areas. It will help in recovery from eczema.
Using fresh fruit and vegetable juices
Fresh fruits and vegetables like carrot, grapes, spinach and orange can be utilized as a home remedy for eczema. Extract juice from the fresh fruits and vegetables and apply over the affected area for recovery from eczema.
Using strawberries
Strawberries can also be used as a home remedy against eczema. For preparing the medicine, crush 4-5 strawberries and extract the juice. Apply this paste with the help of a perforated cotton bandage over the affected areas. This will help in removing the rashes and decrease the inflammation caused due to eczema.
Using Wormwood and kutki (Picrohiza kurroa)
Wormwood and kutki are also beneficial for treating eczema. Dip 4 grams each of wormwood and kutki in 125 ml water and leave it overnight to settle. Drink the solution after sieving it in the morning. After sieving add water again to the mixture and this way the water from the mixture can be drank for four days. After four days, prepare the medicine again. This medication can be applied for 2-4 weeks.
Using papaya seeds
Papaya seeds can also be used against eczema. The mashed seeds should be applied on the affected areas to get rid of skin itching and inflammation. This is an effective and useful home remedy against eczema.
