Home Remedies For Constipation
Constipation is a symptom where the bowel movement takes place less than three times a week. Constipation sufferers find it difficult to eliminate the stools as the stool becomes hard, dry and small in size.
In constipation, infrequent bowel movement makes it hard for the individual to eliminate the toxins produced due to digestive process thereby causing many other ailments. Although constipation is not a disease frequent constipation should be taken seriously as it may lead to various other diseases. There are many simple home remedies available to cure constipation, some of which are as follows
Using water
Water is the most easily available and the most used home remedy for constipation. The individuals suffering from constipation should drink 8-10 glasses of water regularly to avoid constipation. Water helps in dissolving the food nutrients and makes the digestive process smoother. The water should be kept in a copper vessel overnight and drunk in the morning, for better results.
Using apples
Apples are a very good remedy for severe constipation. For effective results, two apples should be eaten in the morning and the apples should be bitten by teeth rather than cut by knife. It helps in getting quick relief from constipation.
Using grapes and milk
Add 10-12 grapes to milk and boil the mixture. The seeds of grapes should be removed and after boiling the grapes should be chewed and the milk should be separately drunk. This medication should be taken, for better results, in the night.
Using cabbage
Cabbage juice is a very effective remedy for constipation. For good results, half cup of cabbage juice should be taken two times every day.
Using Spiegel seeds
Spiegel seeds can also be used as a home remedy for constipation. Add 10 grams of Spiegel seeds in 200 ml of warm milk. Add a little sugar and take this decoction in the night for quick relief from constipation. Alternately, two teaspoonfuls of Spiegel seeds should be added to water and kept idle for 6 hours. This can be taken with sugar every night for good results in constipation.
Using Epsom salt
Epsom salt can also be used as a home remedy for constipation. Add one fourth of spoon of Epsom salt and add with half glass of water. Drinking this every day helps in getting quick relief from constipation.
Using Papaya and guava
Papaya and guava are two naturally found remedies of constipation. Taking papaya in the morning in an empty stomach provides relief from constipation. Salads including papaya and guava are also a good way to control constipation. These fruits help repair the improper bowel movements; thereby, providing good relief from constipation.
Using Flax seeds
Flax seeds show exceptional laxative properties due to which they serve as an excellent remedy for constipation. In a glass of water, one teaspoonful of flax seeds should be added and this decoction should be left idle for 2-3 hours. This water should be drunk in the night before going to bed. It clears the bowel and provides relief from constipation.
Using sunflower, almonds, sesame and linseed seeds
Mixture of the seeds of sunflower, sesame, almonds and linseed act as a fantastic home remedy for constipation. Add equal amounts of all seeds and grind to make a powder. This powder can be taken with salads for getting relief from constipation.
Using Oranges
Oranges are another alternative for quick remedy from constipation. For exceptional results, orange juice should be taken daily as diet as it helps in the functioning of the colon; thereby, providing quick relief from constipation.
Using Spinach
Spinach is an excellent medicine for constipation. Spinach taken either raw or cooked form is beneficial for constipation. It helps in clearing the bowel system, thus providing relief from constipation.
