Home Remedies For Body Odor And Perspiration
Body odor and perspiration is a very common problem among those who have suffered from prolonged illness, take less care about hygieneand are stressful. There may be many other reasons for body odor and perspiration.
In this condition a bad smell comes out of the underarms due to mainly bacterial and fungal infections, which is caused by the reaction with sweat etc. It causes annoyance and may create a poor impression for which it must be taken care of. There are many simple remedies available to stop body odor and most of them are easily available at home.
Using Wheat Grass
Wheat grass can be used as a natural home remedy for body odor and perspiration. For effective remedy, 500 mg of wheat grass should be taken every morning in an empty stomach with a glass of water. The contents of wheat grass are effective in removing body odor and hence it is one of the best cures available for the condition.
Using Glycerin
Glycerin can also be used as a remedy for body odor. Mix the juice of radish with a few drops of glycerin for the purpose. This can be applied on the feet, underarm and neck etc. Glycerin is a natural cleanser and this method is very fruitful in removing body odor and perspiration.
Using baking soda
Baking soda can also be used to get rid of body odor. Apply baking soda on the armpits and feet every day to get recovered from body odor.
Alternately, one can also mix lemon juice with baking soda and apply to sweat prone areas.
Using Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar acts as an effective home remedy when applied in lieu of deodorants. Apply apple cider vinegar underarms for getting quick relief. It decreases the pH of the skin and removes body odor.
Using rosemary oil or tea tree oil
Rosemary or tea tree oil can also be used to limit the body odor and perspiration. Mix a few drops of rosemary or tea tree oil with a little water and apply it to armpits, feet neck and thighs. These oils act as an effective remedy in removing or limiting body odor and perspiration.
Using turnip juice
The juice extracted from turnip can also be an effective home remedy for body odor. For quick results, apply the juice on underarms, feet neck and thigh. This can be applied to any sweat prone area for quick relief.
Using herbal tea
Herbal tea is another effective home remedy for body odor. For quick results herbal tea such as sage tea should be taken twice daily. However, pregnant women should avoid this medication as it may be harmful for them.
Using tomato juice
Tomato juice mixed with fresh sage leaves can act as an effective home remedy. Blend tomato juice and sage leaves and apply to underarms and other sweating areas for nearly 15 minutes for quick relief.
Using antifungal soaps
Antifungal soaps are very effective in removing body odor and are easily available in the market. Use Neem oil for example for bathing and rub on the excessive sweating areas with this soap.
Using vinegar
White vinegar is an effective home remedy for body odor. Apply vinegar on the armpits with the help of a cotton ball for keeping the body fresh and smell-free for the whole day. Although vinegar itself has a smell, it vanishes quickly and is not a matter of concern.
Using essential oil
Essential oil can also be used for removing body odor. Take 30 ml water and mix 10 drops of essential oil and apply the solution to underarms to remove body odor. This acts as an easy and effective home remedy.
It should however be mentioned here, that the body odor is a result of the sweat coming in contact with bacteria and fungus and hence all steps should be taken to stop this. Taking bath three times daily during summer is also suggested by experts for removing body odor.
Moreover, if body odor occurs due to use of some medicines the doctor should be immediately consulted. It should also be remembered that keeping the body clean and maintaining a proper hygiene is the easiest way to keep body odor and perspiration away.
