    High Protein Diet Plan

    Proteins are one of the most fundamental components of our diet. We gain amino- acids from protein which build up many cells in our body. Proteins are responsible for production, repair and maintenance of skin, bones, hair and rest of the organs of our body. Proteins also produce enzymes and hormones. This is why protein is considered as the integral part of balanced and healthy diet. Balanced protein diet can help to lose weight effectively.

    Meal Plans for a High Protein Diet

    We can obtain protein from various dietary sources. A child requires 0.5 gram protein per pound of his/her body weight approximately while an adult’s requirement is 60 grams per day. The best sources for obtaining protein are fish, meat eggs, nuts, seafood, dairy product, soy products, beans and cereals like wheat, oats and rice. The best source of protein is seafood and they contain very less amount of fat.

    Protein for Weight Loss

    High protein diet contributes to healthy weight loss, because this type of diet can help to keep you full for longer period. When your diet consist of less carbohydrates and more protein, your calorie intake becomes less as you feel satisfied and you do not feel so hungry throughout the day. Another benefit of high protein diet is that it helps to keep blood sugar level stable.

    Ten to fifteen percent of our diet should be from protein. If you are taking 1500 calories in a day, then you must eat at least 60 gm of protein per day.

    Protein diet for Body Building

    High protein diet has been the choice of body builders and athletes. People who do not exercise should eat high protein food in moderation, but athletes and body builders who are building muscles need at least 1gram per every pound of their body weight. During intensive training, their muscle tissues break downs and to rebuild the tissues they require a high protein diet plan.

    Either you want to lose weight or build muscles; both of them will require a high protein diet plan. The low amount of carbohydrate and high protein allows slow burning of energy and therefore helps to maintain healthy pancreas and healthy weight. That is why those who want to loose weight are advised to take low carb diets with lots of protein foods to achieve their goal.
