Helpful Tips To Be Kept in Mind Before Packing for Caribbean Vacation
Are you planning to go on your dream vacation to Caribbean Islands soon? If you are, you must be very excited. In this excitement, many people tend to forget many essential things that they may need during their trip and fail to organize things appropriately. Therefore, to help organize your pre-holiday planning and packing, let us take a look at certain tips that will prove to be extremely useful.
The first and most obvious thing that you need is a suitcase, a carry bag, and your basic toiletries including women’s makeup and accessories. It is better to avoid carrying those toiletries which are provided by the hotel in order to optimize space. These toiletries include soap, shampoo, towels, shower gels and hair dryers. Also take along a cloth bag for outings and beach activities.
Don’t forget taking your sun block along. The sun is quite strong in the Caribbean and you must use a sun block of 30 SPF to avoid burning your skin. For people having sensitive skin, an after-sun lotion is also recommended to be used in case of sunburn. The Caribbean Islands also receive frequent rains almost everyday. Therefore, it is a good idea to take an umbrella or rain jacket along.
When it comes to clothing, packing for a tropical vacation can be an easy task. The key idea is to dress light. Make sure to keep in mind that you do not wear any camouflage clothing as it is prohibited to wear them in some islands like Dominica and Barbados. Take along at least two swim suit pairs so that you do not get stuck in a wet one for long. Also, some islands do not permit women to dress up scantily. Therefore, it is a good idea to take clothing like wrap around skirts or Capri’s. Also, take along a formal outfit for a formal dinner.
Another good idea is to take your flip-flops as they are extremely practical in a beach holiday. If you are planning to undertake water sports, then waterproof shoes or crocs are a good idea. Last but not the least, make sure your paper work is complete, your camera is fully charged and you are completely ready for a fun-filled Caribbean Holiday.
