Health benefits of Honey
Honey is not only tasty but there are a lot of health benefits attached with it. It is a rich source of carbohydrates which is essential for strength and energy of the body. It also helps to boost immunity. For athletes, it proves like a boon as it reduces the muscle fatigue. This is also a natural sweetener which is used to replace honey as it contains much benefits compared to sugar. Some of the benefits of honey are mentioned below:
Immunity Booster- Honey is considered as the immunity booster. It also contains some anti bacterial and antioxidant properties that makes you healthy enough to fight with diseases. You can take it before breakfast as a tablespoon of honey with lemon juice added in a glass of warm water is healthy drink.
Get Relief from Hangover- Whenever you drink excess of alcohol and having hangover, you can get benefits from honey. Take some honey as it has some natural sugars which are helpful to speed up the oxidation of alcohol by liver. Then, it acts as the sobering agent. You can also make a recipe by taking 15 ml of liquid honey, now mix80 ml of orange juice in it. Now, take it with 70 ml of natural yogurt. Blend the all well.
Hair Loss- If you are suffering from hair loss then there is no need to worry as you can get rid of the problem by honey. Take some hot olive oil and add a tablespoon of honey in it. Also, add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder in it. Before taking bath apply the resultant paste over your scalp. Leave it for 15 minutes; wash the hair with lukewarm water.
Toothache- In a tablespoon of cinnamon powder, add about 5 drops of honey. Mix well and apply over the aching tooth. You can do this process 3 times a day. It is miraculous remedy to get rid of toothache.
Upset Stomach- Take honey mixed with cinnamon is helpful to cure stomachache. For gastric person the quantity of honey and cinnamon should be equal as it helps to relieve gas and reduce the pain in stomach.
For Sleeplessness- If you are unable to sleep, and then you can mix a tablespoon of honey in a cup of warm milk. This is a helpful remedy for sleeplessness.
