Hair problems have troubled all of us at sometime in our life. Whether it is a problem of lack of shine, brittle hair or having split ends. There are a variety of products that are available in the market that can solve each of these problems individually. The only flip side to these products is the plethora of chemicals that will go in your hair. Here we suggest some of the precautions that you can take which will help you to have those lustrous tresses that you have always wanted.
We suggest some home remedies to get that pampered hair. An olive oil mask can be very beneficial to make hair soft and have luster in them. Mix five tablespoon of olive oil with two eggs and apply it thoroughly on your hair. Then wrap your head with a shower cap for fifteen minutes and then rinse it well.
You can use this hair mask after your shampoo to get the hair you have dreamed of. Take around one cup juice of lemon juice or vinegar and massage it into the hair after your shampoo has been completely washed. Then rinse this with water completely. This mask will help in removing all the dirt form the hair and make the hair shiny and this can be used every fortnight.
Take around two tablespoon of honey and mix it with three tablespoon of olive oil. Apply it thoroughly on the hair and cover with a shower cap. Shampoo your hair after fifteen minutes. This will make your hair soft and shiny.
You can also try some herbs to get soft and shiny hair. Mix around one tablespoon of any of these herbs in boiling water. There are different herbs for different hair types, if you have dry hair then use chamomile nettle and elder flower. If you have oily hair then use peppermint, lemon peel or lemon grass. Let it stand for about half an hour. Add around ¼ cup of cider vinegar to the mixture and mix it well. Then shampoo your hair first and then use this solution and then after few minutes rinse it off.
If you want an instant shine in your hair then mix the juice of one fresh orange juice and add one tablespoon of honey and a few drops of sandalwood oil and use it as an after shampoo rinse. The other recipe to get that shine is to beat two eggs in a tablespoon of milk and apply it on the hair and rinse it after five to seven minutes.
Vinegar in the final rinse of the hair can be a very useful product in reducing the build up of hair products on hair that can lead to dull hair. It helps in closing the cuticles and also helps in restoring the natural pH balance of the scalp. Cider vinegar is better than the synthetic vinegar. This is known to have excellent results.
Dandruff can also cause the hair to loose it shine and the scalp itchy and flaky. Vinegar is useful for treating dandruff as well. You can also apply coconut oil with the help of a cotton ball and leave it overnight. Then in the morning rub some lemon on the scalp and leave it for half an hour. Then wash your hair accordingly.
Sun and other hair products containing some harmful chemicals can damage hair. To treat damaged hair just mash one ripe banana and add a few drops of almond oil to it and massage it in the hair. Let it stay for about 15 minutes and then rinse it with soda water and then shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
Seeing hair in your brush every time you comb your hair can be quiet disheartening. You can avoid this by rubbing some Indian gooseberries into the scalp regularly. This has to be substituted by a protein rich diet.
These small remedies will help in preventing split ends. Take around half cup each of olive oil and boiling water in a bottle and shake it. Then massage with the mixture thoroughly and keep it on hair for half an hour and cover with a shower cup. Then wash your hair.
You can also mix one part of sulfur powder, two parts of surgical spirit, one part of almond oil, four parts rose water and rub this on the scalp. This will reduce the itchiness. Fenugreek is also very effective in getting rid of dandruff. Soak some fenugreek seeds overnight and grind to a paste. Apply the paste on the scalp and leave it for about half an hour and then wash your hair as usual.
