Fruit Salad Recipe For Winter
As often assumed, fruit salads are not prescribed and confined only for the summers but also for the winters. We can recreate a new style in the blending of fruits against some exciting extra composition.
How about refreshing up with some delicious winter special fruit-salad, that too in a cutting-edge flavor? Let’s get geared up to splash into a large bowl of heavenly fruit salad this season.
Rush to your nearest grocery mart to grab all those rich yellow colored ripe bananas, plump heavy sized blood oranges, red, shiny bouncing cranberries, heavy sized clementines, red seedless grapes that are firm to handle, mouth watering kiwis, kumquarts and passionate passion fruits. Not to forget mandarin, pears and pomegranates. Once you fill your fruit basket, assure you have these at home:
½ cup olive oil
½ cup orange juice
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon honey
1 cup raspberry sauce
¼ teaspoon pepper
10 cups salad greens
½ teaspoon poppy seeds
½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ cup lemon juice
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Pistachios and Cashews- as much as you need to crunch
Before we set towards the salad, it is required to process the raspberries in a food processor, until it is pureed. Add a dash of honey and lemon into this and set aside after straining it. Your raspberry sauce is ready.
Now its time to run the machine for blending lemon juice, mustard and poppy seeds. Add part of olive oil slowly to get the dressing thick. Blend for a few seconds.
Mix orange juice, cider vinegar, and remaining olive oil in a small bowl. Briskly whip this with honey till it blends well.Make sure you roast the cashews and pistachios in butter for 2 minutes. This adds to the taste.Cut all your favorite fruits into medium cubes and sprinkle salt and pepper. With this you are done with the pre-requisites.
Take an extra large bowl (you may feel this smaller, later when comparing with your tummy eager to fill with the salad). Place the salad greens first, on top of which you put all the cubed fruits. Here you get the freedom of altering the quantity of fruits, generously incorporating your favorites in extra amounts.
Add cheese cubes. Drip the poppy dressing, raspberry sauce and finally the blended juices on top. Toss gently and garnish with the roasted nuts. Replenish and rejuvenate your tummy.
