Fashion of Smoky Eyes Never Gets Outdated
Smoky eyes have been an all time favorite and the trend shows no sign of dying down. Smoky eyes make women attractive and it adds mysticism to the eyes. The most important thing for getting the perfect smoky eyes is perfect blending. Colors should be blended flawlessly.
It is very important to find the perfect pair of a light base color and a rich dark color. Some popular pairs are soft golden base with deep purple top; champagne base with bright blue top or peach base with green top, etc.
Here is the process of blending these pairs for the perfect finish. It is an easy process and takes very little time, say maximum 5 minutes. For a smoky finish you need an oil-free eyelid. If oil persists you will not be able to blend colors uniformly.
So apply a matte finish foundation and a little bit of powder over eyelids to make them oil free completely. Then take an eye pencil or eyeliner to outline the top and bottom rims of the eyes. Pay special attention to the lash line itself. They should not be kept blank.
People with small eyes should start marking their eyes from the middle of their eyes to the outside of the eyes. If your eyes are big and beautiful then mark it from corner to corner.
After you have set the outline, apply eye shadow with either tip of the finger or an applicator. Smudge the color with finger and mingle it with eyeliner. Smudging helps to make your eyes look soft. Now apply a lighter base color or eyeshadow of lighter shade with a thick brush.
You may use shades like cream or ash white as a base. Then apply a shimmering shadow over the lids up to your brow bone. After applying the lighter base you need a darker eyeshadow to complete the perfect smoky effect.
Use an eyeshadow brush to apply the darker shade near to the lash line. Blend it properly to make the eye line disappear. Give upward stroke to blend the color properly with its base. Make sure that all the colors have blended properly. Now apply mascara. Apply several coats of mascara on your eyelash to add volume.
