Family Reunion Games – Turn The Fun On
Games can help build the correct ambiance in a family reunion. They can create an enjoyable, comfortable and fun-filled atmosphere. They are also helpful in breaking the ice between people who have never met before or are meeting after a long time.
When it comes to family reunions, you can be innovative about the games that you include in the event. Here we provide you with the ideas and details of some extremely entertaining games that can make a family reunion entertaining and truly memorable.
Egg Toss - This is a fairly simple game with no complex rules but pure fun. Divide the players in groups. The team members of one group either stand facing each other or at a distance of a couple of feet from each other.
Each team is given an egg which the first team member in the line needs to pass on to the next and so on. The team with the unbroken egg at the end wins the game. Instead of using eggs, you can also use water balloons.
Wrap the Mummy – For this game you can make teams of a number of people or just 2 members. Even in big teams, the participants need to be split into 2 members each to play. One partner tries to wrap the other like a mummy with toilet papers and the one who finishes first wins.
Catch the truth – Each person writes 3 statements about himself and reads them aloud for others to hear. The other participants need to guess which of the statements is true.
Another interesting game will require all the members to sit in a circle. In the middle of the circle place a bowl of popcorn. Ask all to take popcorn but not eat them. When all have taken their share of popcorn from the bowl, disclose to them that the number of popcorns a person is holding in his hands, the same number of things he will need to say about himself.
You can have eating competitions, sack race, tug of war, musical chairs, three-legged or even five-legged races. You can also arrange for a type of treasure hunt but the catch is that there are no hints or clues and neither the person will need to run from here to there. All the treasures or the little prizes will be in a big heap of straw or hay.
