Here we suggest some excellent facemasks for you skin. These mostly suit every skin type. Turmeric has been known to have medicinal properties, which gets rid of the impurities from the skin giving the skin a glowing radiance.
Take about half cup of gram flour along with two teaspoons each of turmeric powder, sandalwood powder, some drops of almond oil and water to make a paste. Apply this paste on the face and the body and keep it for about five to ten minutes. Now rub with fingers and palms to remove the entire mask from the face. Do not rinse it off.
This is a very good mask for the dry and the sensitive skin. Before applying this mask, just rinse your face with warm water first to open the pores. Then apply honey over the entire face and leave it for about half an hour. Then rinse it with warm water to take off the honey and then later with cold water to close the pores.
This is very effective mask for anti aging. Banana is known to have anti aging properties and hence it is the prime ingredient in this mask. Mash about ¼ of a banana until it is creamy in texture and then apply this on the face. Leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water so that no residue is left on the face and then again rinse it with cold water to close all the pores.
You can also mix in one teaspoon of butter with the same amount of water and apply it on all the dry areas of the face as well as the body and leave it for about 15 to 20 minutes. Then rinse it with cold water. This is an excellent facemask for the dry skin.
Yogurt is very good for the oily skin and you can make a mask with yogurt mixed with one teaspoon of yeast. Apply it over the oily areas and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it with warm water first and the then cold water to close all the pores.
You can also whip up some amazing facial masks at home as well. It also gives the skin a radiant glow. The first one is very useful for the oily skin as the fruit acids help in reducing the shine from the skin. Mix the juice of half a lemon along with one egg white and apply this on the face. Leave it overnight and then wash it with warm water in the morning.
A clay mask is also good for this skin type. You have to make a thick paste of the clay with the water and apply it on the skin and let it dry for about 20 minutes. Then rinse this with warm water. This paste has to be applied on the face once a week. You can also take the pulp of three to four grapes and apply it on the face and the neck. Keep it for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. This is also very good for the oily skin.
This mask suits almost every skin type. Remove the pulp of an avocado and make it into a creamy texture. Apply this mixture on the face and leave it to dry for 15 to 20minutes. Then wash it first with warm water and then cold water to close the open pores.
Oatmeal is very good for the dry skin and makes an excellent facial mask as well. Take two teaspoon of oatmeal and add one teaspoon of baking soda to it. Along with some water make a paste of these ingredients. Apply it on the face as well as on the affected areas and rub it gently to take the oatmeal off.
The other mask for the dry skin can be made by mixing half cup of natural yogurt with one tablespoon of honey and mash in ¼ of a banana in it. Apply this on the face and then rinse it off in 10 minutes.
