    Easy Ways To Pamper Dry Skin

    Our skin becomes dry when we lose the natural oil present on our skin. Dryness leads to irritation and skin becomes dull and lifeless. To get rid of dry skin, one must understand the root cause behind it. Absence of moisture in our skin causes the skin to become dry. So to reinstate natural oil, you have to take care of your eating habits and take good care to moisturize your skin.

    Getting rid of dry skin is not at all difficult. If you take a look at your kitchen pantry, you will find plenty of ingredients that can work as natural remedies for your dry skin. Some foods can even change your dry skin into smooth and soft skin, if your incorporate them in your regular meals. Using some of these ingredients externally also helps to restore the natural oils of the skin, and removes dryness completely. These substances include honey, olive oil, yogurt and oatmeal. Several fruits, seeds and herbs also work wonderfully to moisturize your skin.

    Honey has great moisturizing power; it removes dead skin cells and helps re-growth and renewal of the skin tissues. Its antibacterial properties remove irritation and bring a soothing effect to the skin. Yogurt can cleanse and moisturize dry skin very well. Using it externally on dry skin as well as adding yogurt in your regular meals can help in treating dry skin problem.

    Oatmeal can remove dead skin cells and soothe the dry skin very well. The application of olive oil on your skin not only can soften the skin wonderfully. It can also treat Eczema and any other itching and skin problems. For nourishing your scalp and to get rid of dryness of hair, use olive oil. Those who want to get rid of dry skin must make use of some healthy oils along with olive oil to nurture their skin. Add nuts, and fatty fishes like salmon or mackerel which contains Omega 3 fatty acid in your diet to get maximum benefit.

    Herbal teas like marshmallow, peppermint and chamomile are very beneficial for treatment of dry skin. Prepare herbal tea by mixing 1 teaspoon herb in boiling water. Drink the tea after the herbs gets mixed up. Medicinal properties of the herbs will sooth your skin from within.

    Using soap and body wash can suck out natural oils and leave your skin dry. Also skip hot water bath which can strip moisture from skin. Instead use Aloe Vera gel on your skin, just after a lukewarm bath.

    Eat healthy and well balanced food rich in minerals and vitamins and drink lots of water to get smooth and soft skin.
