    Dry Skin Care Regime

    To have glowing flawless skin is an asset; it reflects beauty, sensuality, youthfulness, and vitality. But not all are born with perfect skin, we need to nurture the skin to give it a healthy glow .

    For those with dry skin it can be a nightmare to deal with chapped and flaky skin. Dry skin looks withered, forms fine lines and wrinkles; and living with dry skin is very uncomfortable.

    What causes dry skin? The skin’s inability to retain moisture and low level of sebum contributes to dry skin. When the dry skin is exposed to external factors such as air condition, wind or extreme temperature it results in skin chapping and cracking.

    You have to replenish the dry skin with moisturizer to hydrate the outer layer of the skin. A regular massage with oil and cream can soothe the skin, giving it extra protection.

    To freshen up your face, wash with mineral or filtered water instead of the tap water, to keep away the deposits of tap water which can make the skin drier. Wipe the face with soft cloth as rough cloth may irritate the skin.

    The ideal soap for your skin would be neutral pH mild soap. Pamper your skin with oil based cream or baby oil after washing the face and apply a nourishing cream at night to, revitalize it.

    Can diet help to alleviate dryness of the skin? Well, diet definitely has a role in keeping dryness at bay by preserving the natural moisture content of the body.

    Fruits and vegetables with high water content can replenish the moisture. Load yourself with yellow and greens for a rich supply of antioxidants and vitamins and minerals. Boost your skin with garlic, onion, cabbage and egg which are enriched with sulfur, it gives a smooth and healthy skin.

    Omega 3 fatty acid can benefit the skin tremendously. Salmon,mackerel  ,soybeans and soybean oil ,olive oil, flax seed and flax seed oil ,walnuts etc are very good source of omega 3 fatty acids. Try to beautify your skin naturally and keep away from all type of junk foods.

    Follow a weekly regime of exfoliating the skin with a facial mask to get a fresh, new skin. Healthy eating and right skin care can improve the condition of the skin to a great extent. Your skin will be more soft and smooth, if you follow the above mentioned tips.
